The Super UnOfficial Blazers vs Flop City

That is seriously a stupid rule. They're SUPPOSED to prepare themselves for a rebound off of free throws.
I like the rule IN THEORY. In practice, the refs are a fucking JOKE.

It is standard operating procedure for the team that just made a basket to take the ball out of the net, look around for a ref 20 feet away, and lob the ball to the ref. I could never figure out why that was never called delay of game, when handing the ball to the other team WAS a delay of game.

They need to stop teams from delaying by doing that, but what we are seeing when the ball falls through the net and the player touches it and drops it immediately is NOT a delay of game.

I get that they are trying to break the habit the players have developed, and maybe by going to extremes in pre-season, they can accomplish that. I don't expect them to continue to call it at this ridiculous level for long.

Re: Lillard leads Blazers over Clippers, 94-84

Damian Lillard scored 12 of his 16 points in the third quarter to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a 94-84 exhibition victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night.

Lillard scored nine consecutive points in the period as the Blazers pulled away after trailing by a point at halftime. Nicolas Batum scored 14 points and Robin Lopez added nine points and 10 rebounds as Portland built a 17-point lead with less than 10 minutes left in the game.

Serious question, is this truebluefan a computer program? WHy would this guy just randomly drop these posts like this. I see he/it starts all the threads on the forums that have low traffic, but why come on here and blindly post this seeing we have covered all this?

Chris Paul was walking w/ son, Lil Chris, & bumped into Damian Lillard. CP3 asked Lil Chris who's that? Lil Chris said "That's the good one"

Could take this different ways. Maybe Lil Chris was dissing the rest of the Blazers...

I wouldn't look so deeply into a statement by a toddler. Nevertheless, he has good taste, dat Lil' CP3.

Hey Nate, it looks like Chris Paul is gonna suck this year. He only had 7 points and 3 assists in a preseason game. Cause for concern...

He had 7 points and 3 assists because of Damian's fantastic defense!

That should be cause for concern...... for the rest of the league :blazerwookie:

OK I finally saw the replay. The first quarter was horrible. The Clipper announcer said something to the effect as "Have these guys ever met one other?
Their lack of time playing together was quite apparent. Not sure why Damian, Will, and Nic all tried to run so many plays for Lopez. It was just turnover after turnover.
Blazer's offense looks bad right now. Better chemistry is desperately needed. It is going to take some time.

Like most of you mentioned TRob looked great on the boards. But my god why would he ever dribble away from the basket. Absolutely no handles.

Any team with CP3 tends to cry a lot but now with Doc coaching, they will be unbearable to watch.

Yeah, the Doc/CP3 combo is just horrible. Epic amounts of crying.

The problem with TRob is that he thinks he's like an Amare, Malone, or even an Aldridge. He's not. He needs to get his ass in the post The offense needs to stop running like he's Aldridge though. They're putting him at the top of the key and that's way outside his range. Get him in the post, post him up, let him bang.
