Months later Republicans decided Biden was trying to assassinate Trump. Trump, who was not at home, now says he had narrow escape from death. Oh and send him money. Congressman and VP hopeful Daniels was grilled about this bullshit on CNN. He replied by talking about Hillary's emails.

In arguments before Extreme Court defending absolute presidential immunity, lawyers argued on his behalf a president could legally order assassination of a rival.

They don't mean a president. They mean Trump has absolute immunity.

Imagine Biden on stage with Black gangster facing murder charges. Right wing media would be screaming about his supposed endorsement of rampant crime. Liberal New York Times would chide lack of judgement. Congress would have motion to censure with usual MAGA making sound bites. It would be presented as evidence for Biden's dementia. Campaign ads would run until November.

Trump does it, barely mentioned.

He is still treated as entertainer, not potential president.

The media is complicit. Capitalism trends towards fascism when the inequal balance of power between corporations and regular working people becomes too great a divide.
 
Trump went to Libertarian convention seeking their endorsement. Instead, he was heartily booed and jeered. Libertarian presidential candidate denounced him for sending national debt skyrocketing, bombing Syria, COVID response and overturning Roe.

Republicans then talked about how much the Libertarians loved Trump and how, according to Utah Congressman Mike Lee, he "knocked it out of the park". Fox muted sound so viewers couldn't hear crowd booing.
