Here is a 44-second taste of the great speech. At the end you see the $50 actors in t-shirts.

he is a real scumbag and I think most Republicans even realize that. He knows very well he has zero shot of winning, but he loves to see his name in print and to collect the money of idiots.

Donald Trump's companies have sought visas to import at least 1,100 workers

Donald Trump is staking his run for U.S. president in part on a vow to protect American jobs. But this month, one of his companies, the elite Mar-a-Lago Club resort in Florida, applied to import 70 foreign workers to serve as cooks, wait staff and cleaners.

A Reuters analysis of U.S. government data reveals that this is business as usual in the New York property magnate's empire.

Trump owns companies that have sought to import at least 1,100 foreign workers on temporary visas since 2000, according to U.S. Department of Labor data reviewed by Reuters. Most of the applications were approved, the data show.

Nine companies majority-owned by Trump have sought to bring in foreign waitresses, cooks, vineyard workers and other laborers on temporary work-visa programs administered by the Labor Department.

Ugh. Sly. It's you're job to drum up traffic on this site. I feel you can do better. How about a link to the latest in lingerie fashions using 21st century fibers?

By no means am I endorsing Trump, but there seems to be a large difference between attempting to legally get people into the country to fill unfilled jobs and granting amnesty to those who came without visas, right?

I think of Donalds Trump's presidential Candidacy as a fraternity prank between drunk Republicans. I mean, could you pick a better mark? That blow dried hair was Madison Avenue created to make necks bulge. Way to go GOP! Out me down for 50!

legally get people into the country to fill unfilled job

You really think it's because he can't fill those jobs or is it because he can fill those jobs cheaper with immigrant labor?

No, speaking from experience it's kinda hard to get citizens to work a job in the "service hospitality" field of cleaning and serving and that pays as much as welfare does, without the turnover. You bring someone in on a work visa, you have a reasonable expectation that they're not going to quit in 2 weeks.

"Cheaper" has nothing to do with it. Minimum wage is minimum wage.

Just imagining the liberals complaining about Trump gets me off. I am such a bi-partisan mud slinging troll.

The odd thing is that the republicans are running 17 candidates that are truly the best they can offer and I'm not even lukewarm about any of them. Rand Paul isn't his father.

Sanders is a lunatic and Hillary is one of the worst people alive.

What strikes me, and Chris Hayes noted this on his program: There are four declared Democrats. Clinton and O'Malley are centrist, Webb is conservative, Sanders a social democrat. If you put those 4 in a debate you'd see agreement on some issues but a lot of differences. With 17 Republicans, there really are no substantive policy differences.

Same sex marriage. Huckabee says the states should ignore/disobey the SCOTUS decision. Kasich says the court ruled, abide by it, there are more important things to spend effort. "Substantive policy differences."

I wouldn't be upset if Kasich is elected. He's closer to the center than the far left wing nut cases that democrats pander to and the far right wing nut cases that republicans cater to.

The guy wrote the balanced budgets that Clinton signed, and the economy rocked. If you get the chance to hear him talk about the nuts and bolts of policy, he's really sharp. He's rising in the polls. Currently 9th and about to pass Cruz for 8th. He's in the debate.

A Kasich/Walker ticket would be pretty strong.

Kasich's problem is he doesn't make you want to salute when he walks in the room. Not a great orator.

You can't call him stupid with a straight face. He's not a bible thumper.

Some like he'd run the government better than a community organizer. NO doubt.

I'm sure it would politically incorrect to have Obama the centerpoint of this skit.:blazerwookie:

I am a registered independent, voted for Kerry in 2004, voted for Obama twice, and do not regret any of my presidential votes. But I would absolutely vote for Kasich before Hillary or Sanders, actually I would do that in a heartbeat. I hope O'Malley or Webb make a serious push against the other two, but I doubt it unfortunately. Trump is entertaining, and in some ways far less frightening to me than the likes of Cruz, Rubio, or Paul. All of the other Republicans that are running (well, Cristie I don't think is physical of the feat, har har) seem completely extremely unlikely to be nominated.

Seriously Kasich seems like the only really decent Republican candidate.

Kasich was my favorite too. But I'm voting for Hillary. Donated some money tonight too.

Your post proves it's ALL about cheaper.

But having been a manager in several different service industries in the Portland area which start at minimum wage, I never faced any difficulty hiring or retaining any particular race over another nor have I noticed any different work ethics I could attribute to race.

My experience is most people want to earn their way, most people want to be justly rewarded for their efforts and dedication, and most people are paid like slaves.

"Justly rewarded" means different things to different people. Slaves were, by definition, not paid.
My post means that while I was ok to work a minimum-wage job, it was only until I was able to improve my lot. I didn't say a thing about race. You did.

And why were you only paying your employees minimum wage?
