Its too bad the blazers are too busy going to the playoffs, they could really be developing their 5th big guy faster. Oh well.

So. Best case being we resign Aldridge and Meyers leaves when he wants more playing time. Or worse case, Aldridge leaves and Meyers eventually plays into the position? Either might happen.

You mean in 4 years? Sure, that might happen.
 
Or a third, unbelievable possibility. He is a good back up big man, making the better part of a hundred million of dollars.

Or whatever the going rate happens to be.

there ARE 10 players more SOBER than lillard though. I heard it on the internet.

I'm not saying I don't like Afflalo because I do. it may have even been worth it cause T-Rob and Barton and Claver weren't getting of Stotts' bench anyway, but give me a break here, at least calm down on this stupid joke.
This guy could supposedly still be a player someday, he could mature or grow balls or a brain, I don't know, people change and his biggest bright spot is being young. But right now I wouldn't give him 1 minute in a playoff game unless it's a complete blow-out. He needs to get back to waiving towels and cheerleading. I don't hate the guy and I wish him well but the objective here is to win basketball games and right now he is not a basketball player.

In essence, they are doing the hyperbole, I am merely reporting it. I didn't say -I- think.

But yes, he is clearly the Oden of our team.

T-Rob is a POWER Forward, he plays inside, he hustles, he is 10 times better defsnsively, a better rebounder, a smarter player (yes, don't know about their IQ tests but T-Rob is a much smarter basketball player). He could give us the one thing we're lacking which is points in the paint, whereas having Leonard on the floor gives us usualy our 4th 3-point shooter which is just stupid and means we play 4 on 5 on the defensive end.

I'd keep Leonard over TRob eight days a week, even without the financial advantages. The only thing Robinson has over Meyers is motor.
 
I think the reason he lost playing time is because in his last few games, for some odd reason, he became very tentative about taking his open shots. And once he failed to do it on his first opportunity, maybe someone yelled at him and that seemed to fluster him and he started taking them and missing. Obviously, his defense and rebounding is not good enough to keep him in a game. When he has good games, he goes out there and shoots his first chance and makes it and keeps going from there. The fact that he stopped shooting freely after a stretch of good games surprised me and made me wonder if he had some kind of mental makeup that would continuously self-sabotage.

It's a little frustrating to me that the organization has put so much energy in to developing him. (although as I have said several times I think he should have been allowed to play in D-league regularly, as what he really needs is just game situations repeated over and over, to help his decision-making). I say this because once an organization decides to stick with a certain guy (as the Blazers did with Damon Stoudemire for so many years), they tend to pass up on better opportunities. I think the Blazers could have made a move to get into the draft to get a guy like Rudy Gobert or Gorgi Dieng.
 
I think we should trade Damon Lillard plus two firsts for Conley. Maybe throw in CJ to ensure it gets done. We could toss in Crabbe too. Who else? Let's get this done.

Think bigger, we should try to pry Tristan Thompson away from the cavs.
