So...Rourke is kind of playing himself?
 
This looks pretty good.
 
Like a lot of people when I first heard this movie was coming out I didn't think that a movie about pro wrestling could be this good, but I was dead wrong. This looks amazing.

I don't care what you think about professional wrestling, it's a hard thing to do. Rourke had to train for this, and he plays it off like he actually has been wrestling for 25 years.
 
If anyone has seen Beyond The Mat, it is a doc about pro wrestlers including Jake "The Snake" Roberts. Just from that clip Rourke really invokes Roberts and his somewhat tortured existence. And if you haven't seen Beyond The Mat, watch it. Worthwhile.
 
I was able to catch this today and it is a very good movie.

Rourke is extremely believable in a role that closely resembles his own tumultuous life. He is in almost every scene and is captivating.

Also, for a 45-year old woman, Marissa Tomei sure doesn't look it in this one.
