Will not miss: Molasses style of the offense at times.

both teams in the NBA finals this year had a slower pace than Portland; 3 of 4 teams in the conference finals had a slower pace. 6 of 8 teams in the conference semi-finals had a slower pace

of course, those slower paces led to success. Not so much for Portland

faster pace can be more fun to watch, but it's not always winning basketball

Slower pace is a natural consequence of the better scouting and tougher defenses of playoff-level teams. You definitely have to be able to play that brand of basketball too if you want to compete at that level. During the regular season though, fire up Showtime.

The slower pace for these teams could also be because their defense held the opposing team for bad shots and long possessions in the half-court.

This was specifically about offense pace.

The teams in the conference finals, only the Heat had a slower offensive pace (seconds per possession) than Portland. Actually, from all 30 teams in the league, Portland was ranked #22 in the league in possession time.

good point

although when I look at the numbers, I'm not seeing big differences:

GSW 13.8
LAL 14.1
DEN 14.6
BOS 14.6
PHX 14.6
POR 14.7
MIA 15.0
NYK 15.1
CLE 15.1

then there is the TOP after defensive rebounds:

LAL 10.5
DEN 10.9
GSW 11.0
POR 11.1
BOS 11.2
PHI 11.6
PHX 11.6
MIA 11.8

and after turnovers:

LAL 7.8
DEN 7.8
BOS 8.1
POR 8.1
NYK 8.2
GSW 8.4
PHI 8.7
PHX 9.0
MIA 9.2

I'm thinking this might be a case of familiarity-->contempt, because reality is the Blazers are generally in the middle in pace and TOP

What will I miss?

I will miss definitely miss Blazer fans obsessively fighting with everyone after the best player on the team has asked for a trade.

i feel like this franchise is trying to turn Lillard into the trade CJ McCollum movement. Lillard IS NOT McCollum. CJ is a tough go go gadget role player, not an iconic NBA All-everything All-Star.

Feeding the narrative "do what's best for the team". Blazer fans across the state are eating it up with a spoon, and engaging in hostile rhetoric towards possibility the greatest Blazer of all time.

For a city that is among nationwide leaders in amount of hippies per capita, seeing Portland turn into a rock throwing Antifa riot because Lillard asked for a trade, is disheartening to this OG Blazers fan.

Won't miss:
Agree with others - won't miss the iso ball and lack of ball movement

Anticipating:
Determining if Billups can actually coach - I feel like he was somewhat hamstrung with Dame and Dame doing Dame-stuff, not Billups-ball. With you energetic talent, will we see a totally different style of game and will it be successful? Curious to know.

Last year's summer league team was fun to watch, maybe that's what we can hope for once we play to coach system
