...yeah, he was "over-rated".

Okay so MAYBE over-rated was the wrong term. I just wouldn't put him as high up on a pedestal as many have. And Again, JMO. Like I said there's nothing specific about his career that jumps out at me. Nothing memorable. Something like, Remember when Munson hit those 3 HRs to beat the Tigers? or remember when he won the batting title? Or remember when he hit for the cycle against the Indians. Remember when he had that 30 game hitting streak etc etc etc. there's just nothing special about his accomplishments that stand out. I mean outside from his guts, toughness & heart. which yes is very important. And again as a player I loved the guy. I just didn't think he was that special.

Okay, rather then beat this death & since points have been made, time to move on.
