@SherwoodStrauss: LMA's supposedly "the best PF," but I suspect Portland would trade him for Love in a split second.

Agree??? And I guess Ethan Strauss works nba for espn

Love for Aldridge is very interesting. Although I wouldn't do it it's fun to think about.

Love is a terrible defender. He's a better version of David lee imo. I'm taking aldridge

A) Ethan Sherwood Strauss has already been dubunked on this board.
B) While there may be some people in Portland (and fans here) who would think about doing a Love-for-LMA deal, it is not even in the biggest LoveLover's mind that it's a "split-second" yes.

Yes, Portland needs a PF who shoots 6 3-pt shots per game and is a very poor post scorer and post defender.

Wtf not only is carlito making sense but I agree with him.
This is not a dream. He's correct. And so are you. I don't care how many threes Love makes, I would not trade LaMarcus for him.

Nope. That's spoken like someone who only plays fantasy basketball.

But Love is a local guy so it would help with our attendance.

Carlito, you should play top forty remixes on how Love is a drug you want none of!

I just hurt the shit out of me pinching myself to see if I were dreaming. Carlito says something right?

I would not have made that trade even before this season.

Love played all of 18 games last year, how the hell did he become the best PF in the NBA? Greg Oden must be the best center.

@SherwoodStrauss: LMA for MVP talk (it's early, I know) is reflective of our urge to reduce credit from a team down to one guy.

Which is exactly what he's trying to do with Love.

Also, if he works for ESPN, that may be one of the most hypocritical statements ever.

Does anyone think mixum is this guy only carlito says is related to espn?

nah, Strauss is actually one of the "Insiders" (BlazerFanatic post upcoming, I'm sure :) ) in ESPN's stable, but who started at BleacherReport.

I'm a scrappy NBA writer who has been published at Salon, ESPN and HoopSpeak, all the while fueled by my love for America's greatest game. My home is Oakland, where it's really not so bad.

This guy is a hack of a writer. He likes to take on "edgy" subjects to try and come off as another steven A Smith but it doesn't work at all.

Any year prior to this one would have been a no brainer for me. Love > Aldridge. However, Aldridge has raised his game to an entirely new level, so no, not at this point

seems odd to say that, considering you complain about other players defense, yet would take this trade (in the past)

Well then, since Love is the best player on his team, he deserves the bulk of the credit for them being one game under .500 and in 11th place in the conference.
