Wrong. That is not burglary. The common law definition of burglary is the breaking and entering of the house of another at night with the intent to commit a felony therein. States have expanded the definition of burglary, but not typically to the extent that breaking and entering is sufficient, especially if no one is in the house.
I am under the impression that the house was abandoned. John Wall is facing a misdemeanor charge of B&E, not a burglary rap, which is a felony. That's like a guy slapping a girl on the ass and you insisting that he would face rape charges.
Look, raise your hand if you have NEVER been somewhere you shouldn't. Never trespassed, never snuck into an abandoned building, never played around an empty construction site.
We have due process of law for a reason, we don't even know yet if it was indeed John Wall and if there are no mitigating circumstances surrounding his reasons for being in the house (if he was in the house).
Absent more evidence, I don't think this reflects on his brains or maturity, other than that he is human, imperfect, and 19 years old.
