Joel, On Sunday you wrote about Lopez having a breakout season based on preseason stats.Everytime Greg Oden's name is brought up,you dismiss him and disregard the preseason.Why are you so biased?

It's not just Brook's preseason stats (though those certainly help), but his performance last year the arc of improvement I see continuing for him this year. He's going to get more minutes than Oden, has a better injury history than Oden, and is statistically superior to Oden. I've said time and again that I just don't see Oden as an All-Star player. He's always going to be an affable center on both ends of the floor, but he's not a star. Lopez is. So yes, I'm biased towards good players and apathetic towards average ones. Isn't that how we all are?

That argument is on its last few straws...This is a make or break year for Oden in regards of if he truly will be an elite C or just an adequate one.

this is oden's 2nd year playing nba basketball. absolutely nothing is make or break about it.

oden almost certainly will post better numbers than that if he plays 30 minutes per game this season. just because you like bynum is no reason to underrate oden. both players can be good.
