I've always wanted to see a Seahawk alternate color version in traditional turquoise, red, black, white. Not that I care about football at all, I just think it would be cool given the Native American inspiration for the team's name and logo. What next? Seahawks unis in Black and Red?
Did anyone else notice the Seahawks team bus outside the Moda Center last night? Wondered why that was down here.
This further proves that the Blazers are trying to separate "Rip City" from Portland and make it a term for all Blazer fans. I find it extremely insulting.
LOL you guys sure know how to stoke the fire. Not happening!
If I was the owner I would market to Washington as well now that there is no team. You make it sound like only people who live in POR should get to say or wear Rip City. I don't live there but used to live somewhere in Oregon and am obviously a huge fan even with being out of State. I would be more worried about the colors then not having the word Portland there personally.I'm not saying they're moving the team. I'm saying they're trying to market to people in Seattle, but Rip City is Portland. The team needs to stop trying to take that away from us.

I don't think they look good on Black but they do look good on White or Grey imo.Seattle's current colors are hideous
SO butthurt about everything, They should make a whole bunch of colorways because there are Blazer fans worldwide though. Like state by state and country by country.
It's just a colorway dude lol If they did black and silver or red and gold I'd be cool with it, I think there could be some pretty dope things they could do with it too. If they made a RipCity shirt that had the American flag for the font I'd buy that shit instantly, best 4th of July shirt EVER.I'm shocked that a Seahawk fan wouldn't have a problem with it. Shocked.
Niners would be ok. Raiders suckSomeone should make it in Raider and Niner colors just to piss off the new Seahawk fans.
This is the one you choose to respond to? Nothing to Sly or I? We feel so sad (yes I am going to pretend to know how Sly feels).I'm shocked that a Seahawk fan wouldn't have a problem with it. Shocked.

There are some things were I think you are right on and some I disagree with. Why do local fans mean more than I just because I not local? That is what you a trying to say without saying from what I gather. If not then you might want to consider rewriting to what you actually are trying to get across.I saw your post. I disagree with it. Anyone can be a fan, but the team is synonymous with Portland. They are the Portland Trail Blazers, after all, and we are Rip City. This is exactly what happens when a team stops thinking of itself as a representation of a city and starts thinking of itself as a corporation. They stop thinking locally and start thinking regionally or nationally or globally. I get that they make more money this way, but it damages the connection between the city and the local fans. If the Blazers became a national phenomenon, like the Lakers for example, and there were douchey Blazer fans all over the place, how would you feel about the team? How would you feel about being a Blazer fan?

I agree wholeheartedly with Sly that Rip City is a state of mind (or attitude) not a location.
