Notice This is the worst Blazer team I have seen in my lifetime.

So this Dallas game was worst home defeat in Blazers history. And no one is talking about it.

You know, at least this topic proved itself. Current Blazers team managed to be worst team at something. If you look in the stats in ten years time, you check worst home lost ever, you will get a picture of Dame and CJ.

If J.Butler was here he would be furious about this game, yet just few hours after this lose, CJ posted tweeter about him being aristocrat.

We got exactly same problem as Minnie has. No attitude. And it was here all the time with Stotts an Olshey and this bs about "culture".

Last player that had some balls was Wes. Now ya all wanna trade Trent Jr. and he could be only bad mf in this team (like his father was;)

No good player wants to come here, not BC it's small market. It's BC we are Blazers. Competitors don't give a sh about CJ's mama sandwiches.
We are basically Minesotta + Lillard.

So, yeah, that's that. Just a notice. Great culture.

That’s why I loved the jail blazers era. Always had that pissed off winning mentality. It’s not coincidence we haven’t had playoff success since then. This era is all about just making the city happy with smiles

It is certainly the owner of the worst home loss any of us has ever seen. Given that some think Dame is the Greatest Blazer ever and CJ 'is like am all star', that is one heck of an accomplishment.

Yep, that's me.

Which is fine....but it seems like we aren't getting our money's worth if that is the case. Worst home loss ever? Ever? That is quite disappointing on many levels.

Yeah the should have pulled the bench mob and put the starters back in to keep that score more reasonable.
Might have even got that score down to a 20-25 point loss.

Yes I put that in green because it was sarcasm.

The starters is the one put us in that position.

You can put silver linings and a lipstick on it, but it does not change the fact this team finally is best at something;)

Agree about Trent...many want him gone but he's a baller with toughness and the drive and nasty attitude you like to see.

But can you argue that this is the worst Blazer team of this year?
Somehow after I read this, even though you started this thread, I felt you won the argument.

But then I thought, is Nate saying he was born yesterday?

You know, when I lived in Chicago, I would follow the Blazers around when they came through the area (Minny, Milwaukee, Chicago, Indiana, Detroit, etc.) I remember one time I followed the Jail Blazers down to Indianapolis, where I got to see in person this performance: https://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/199802270IND.html

It doesn't matter how talented the team, some nights they just decide to pack it in. And that was a team you claim that had a "pissed-off winning mentality".

I await the rebuttal from @AldoTrapani now thst he got proven wrong again. Lol.

Neil is an LA transplant put here to build Portland into perennial fringe playoff team — purgatory.

Oh, it’s true!

Meh that was that eras equivalent of “load management, day off”.. Hey I’ll take that if we get more playoff success than what we get now. Remember we almost won a title with that team. Something we haven’t said since

Worst Blazer team I have ever seen is back on the menu boys!

What Nate seems to mean is that this is the Blazers team that disappoints him the most.

He's a former internet journalist, so he had to give his thread a Buzzfeed title. :devilwink:

There are many ways to define "worst."

This is definitely the worst defensive Blazer team of my lifetime. It's also the worst passing. Worst coached?

You guys keep going back to record and I'm not talking about record. I would rather have a team with a shit record and a bright future than this steaming pile of treadmill crap.

I've been saying the Blazers are stuck on a treadmill since 2015; since Olshey forced the franchise into building around Dame AND CJ

you can debate dozens of different decisions over the last 9 years on their individual merits, or demerits. But for me the ultimate test of progress is how the team finishes in the playoffs, not how they enter. And those results have been:

1-4
1-4
1-4
0-4
0-4
0-4
1-4

4-28....call it a treadmill; call it purgatory; call it mediocrity. Those would all be accurate. But you can't call it progress, and Dame was 23 when those playoff appearances started; he's 30 now

And yet.... Neil and Terry still have jobs. It's astounding.

The collection of talent.

The pissing away Dame's prime.

The complete lack of ball movement and defense.

Put it all together and this is a worse team than the Telfair years or the Felton years. This team is shameful and Stotts need to be fired immediately.
You must be young. They were unbelievably worse during some of the Jail Blazer era. I went to games where only 30% of the fans showed up. I have primo seats and I couldn't give them away. Today, the Rose Garden is packed. Quite a difference if you'd care to notice.

Did those teams have a brighter future than this one? What was the bright future of the 2005-06 team? Getting Brandon Roy? Brandon Roy never won a playoff series.

I've always found this logic totally bizarre. This list would look better if they lost to the Clippers and Thunder (or Nuggets) 3-4 as opposed to winning the series.

4-2
4-1
4-3

If that's all I listed, and compared it to the rest of the series' we won this century, it wouldn't tell the entire story. The opposite is also the case.
