According to today's NY Post Alfonso Soriano is now saying that this may be his last season also. The Yankees are only responsible for 5M of the 18M he's due this year but "I'm more comfortable playing the outfield then I am as a DH" And this year he says, "I don't know where I fit in".

He just turned 38 this past January but is coming off a season where he hit 34 HRs & drove in 101. He enters this season with 406 career HRs. I wonder if the Yankees will offer to extend him as a permanent DH. Say 2 additional years at 20M. What do you guys think?

I think it all depends on how he comes out of the box. If his bat hasn't slowed or showed signs of decline then they may consider it.

Yeah I think it's all about the kind of year he puts up. If he does 30/100 again I would think he continue his career.

I think he'll be good for AT LEAST 20 / 80. Should the Yankees extend him now?
