Playoff teams beat GS. Playoff teams dont let OKC hang around for 3 qtrs at home. Playoff teams dont need last second shots to beat the knicks. Im sorry its the truth.

Now i dont know if we back in because the suns sell the farm but thi steam as is right now has too many holes. Ive said numerous times, i dont know what there is to bake. We know Outlaw is more of a liability then anything. We know frye is worthless. Sergio will never be more then a guy who gets limited backup minutes.

Batum cant start for us down the stretch or its over. I know his defense is decent but you cant have zero points from your SF. Its just not acceptable in todays NBA. I mean GS held us under 100 points. Wasnt it like 66 at the end of the 3rd? Thats unacceptable.

If im being honest, yes we could use an upgrade at PG but honestly if we don't get a SF by this time next week... playoffs are iffy. Im telling you guys... dont be shocked when the unthinkable collaspe happens. We need a vet and we need one now. I hope pritchards EGO doesnt get in the way. Jazz are 2 back and the suns are 3 back. Im glad you gusy are comfortable .... but clearly you can see since last weeks road trip... upgrades need to be made if we wanna play come mid april. Canzanos right, Buchers right, and everyone who knows anything about the blazers realizes ITS TIME TO FUCKING UPGRADE THE SF SPOT ASAP!
 
Utah and Phoenix got blown out in Oracle. Cleveland required a buzzer beater. Boston lost there as well.
 
You can add Denver to that list, as well as New Orleans in their own building.

Fuckin' A - Mixum is right. This team just isn't good enough to win a title this year. Fortunately, that's what I thought all along . . . and anyone foolish enough to think so is a fucking idiot. It's a young ass team doing a fine job learning on the job and right in the thick of the playoff race. Whereas veteran teams like PHOENIX loaded with All-Star/HOF talent like Nash, Shaq, Amare, Richardson and Hill as imploding in front of our eyes, this bunch of early 20 yr olds keeps pluggin' away!!!

Fuck them for not being good enough to win it all this year! They don't deserve my loyalty. Seriously, fuck them.

well hey, in all honesty the Blazers easily could miss the playoffs. Odds are they dont miss but never say never...its just the way Mixum goes about it is all wrong
 
Yeah, anything is possible. But most of us with any common sense can look at the teams behind us and realize that at least several of them are messes and no better off than we are so this gloom and doom bullshit day in and day out is nothing more than 1) a pathetic plea for attention or 2) ammunition to jack off to. It's a close call either way.

I don't think the playoff are iffy, but I think HCA is definitely a long shot without a move. Mike Rice also said the same thing on Courtside. He thinks we are the 8th seed w/o a trade.

People making these arguments that other teams get beat in Oracle are missing the point. There's a troubling trend of slow starts and bad defense that is getting worse not better. This loss wasn't an aberration, but a completely expected loss from watching our last few weeks of sub-par play.

You are not giving GS any credit with having Monta Ellis back. They can and will beat anyone on their home court.

Yes the loss was expected. Yes we need our starting PG back, and yes we need to play better D. (Although Nate's game plan was better than anyone else has been doing lately against them) But i think the trend of slow starts can be directly linked to when Blake went down.

It's made things worse for sure (especially defensively), but its a trend that was going on even with him as a starter.

We can't get away with starting Batum anymore. Trade Outlaw in a package for a legit starting SF and let Batum come off the bench.

I think we can make that trade without including Outlaw. Keep TO as the back up PF. I think he would be sorely missed. He is a good utility guy to have on your bench and his teammates love him. I am not saying he is awesome, just that it would be a mistake to trade him for various reasons.

Batum isnt the problem. he plays excellent defense.

Trout comes in and replaces him and together with Rudy, their defense is atrocious.

I'd say Rudy's better than T-Law though at it.


Batum excels at defense, and we need him in there; there's no reason BRoy, LMA, and ODen cant score...


The big issue is our starting PG not driving, but standing around waiting for cutters, and then driving w/8 seconds to go, its like run out the clock possession every time...

We need Bayless to start, and/or Blake back
 
Another thing we need is some refreshed offensive sets...
everything is stand around and wait for Broy, or Stand around and wait for Sergio, or pass it low to LMA to juan on juan.....

He's an excellent defender in comparison to TO. He can stay in front of his man usually, but it's not like he's a Raja Bell or Bruce Bowen in terms of his impact on D. He's solid, but essentially lets the opposing team slack off him on the other end of the court since he's not a threat to score whatsoever.
