We're a .500 team with 65 games to go and a bunch of injuries. I don't think we can be an elite team with the coach we have, but to go as far as saying that our season is already done is a ridiculously stupid thing to say.
why?
Because after they play one good game you will post the opposite!
no i won't. Ive been negative all season long.
Yeah right... you switch sides constantly lol.

This team was horribly overrated by some of the fans in the offseason, and now those fans are pissed because they just realized the team was never a championship calibur team.

Exactly. With the exception of the fact that Sean Williams is the guy we all love and want to get minutes/start instead of Hassan Adams (although Sean is much more deserving of the love)... it's the same fucking team. Nothing has changed. Same team, same problems, same record, same not-going-to-work-out off season (Mr. Magloire), same everything.

Do what you've always done and you'll get what you've always got. I think Frank used that in a YES montage a bunch of games ago. He's 100% correct.

Still no shooting, still no 3 point D, still going anywhere from 1-4 quarters of a game without showing up on offense, defense, or both. Still lacking energy/passion/everything they lacked many times last season. Actually, the only real difference from last year is our new love for going down by 80 at some point in every game.

What's that you say? Injuries? Sure, Nenad is injured and so is the unproven backup point guard, but uh... get this... this team was world's better when guys named Buford, Jabari and Vaugh were in the starting lineup. This team, as is, just doesn't have whatever a team needs to have in order to be a good team.

You guys who are surprised by any of this... you're nuts.

All of this is 100% true, but the Nets were two games from the ECF last year.

If they can't be sellers, it still makes sense for them to give it a run and be buyers.

Just my two cents, by the all star break Frank might have lost his players. How many blow outs this early season? Anyone notice Kidd's body language on the bench

so you have no prob with me sayign the Nets suck?

Of course I do. Playoff teams don't suck. We're a playoff team. Hence, we don't suck. We just can't get past the second round with the way the current roster is built.

He's getting tired of the same shit. The slow starts and the inconsistent play are finally getting to him it seems.

Another way to look at this season so far is the Nets haven't played that well and they're still 8-9. If/when they click how good will they be is what we have to hope for.

I've seen you post "This team sucks" "We are done" "Blow it up" and then not 2 pages from then post "I love this team," etc in a game thread.

Saying that we're done is ridiculous because you're giving up on a team based on 17 games played with 65 to go.

I don't even know if you have a genuine opinion on this team, as it changes every time theres a 5 point run by either team.

I'm still confident we're getting a top four seed. I just don't see any team other than the Celtics, Magic and Pistons having a higher seed than us.

i havent been positive since the beginning of the year. I mean, there might be smidgets hear and there of positivity of noting to severe.

I say we trade Jason Collins for a used PS2. Maybe if we add in Boki we can get a controller out of it.

Why should we not be disappointed? This team is currently not that bad.

Just like you have a TEAM USA calibur rosters, but you lose to China, French, Agrentina consistently.

What should you expect from the current roster? If we are sixers, OK, I am satisfied with the situation which we are in now.

But Your team has Kidd, Carter, Jefferson, Sean Williams. But the coach doesn't know how to utilize them significantly.

The rotation is just a mess ! Geez! Bench Vince Carter in the entire second quarter, and bench Sean Williams for a long time.

Start Malik Allen and Jason Collins after he started Sean Williams and Jamaal Magloire, when Sean Williams had a career starting game !

What a mess, why can't he try this lineup ? Magloire, Sean, RJ, VC, and Kidd. At least, it looks stronger.

When I saw we have this kind of starting big men, Collins and Allen, I just want to throw up ! No team would be scared by this lineup.

Malik is just a bad defender, and turnover machine. Collins is a guy who doesn't know how to score.

I know Magloire did not perform well in the first season games, but why don't you play him at all after that?

It's a 82 games long season, you should play some guy that might help your team the most....

The coach is really, really terrible. I know you can say we are just one game under the .500,

but the truth is that we are playing like crap. Just observe every game that we had played.... easily down by 20, and struggle with the sub teams...

The wins were just taken over by the big three, and they only beat the sub teams : Bulls, Wizzards, Sixers, Hawks, Blazers, Sonics, Inconsistent Lakers

So I agree with Jizzy that this team is really done.

Uh, why does Thorn get a free pass?

Anyone who's bitching about Frank is delusional if they think the team, as currently constructed, would suddenly be a title contender under Phil Jackson or Pat Riley.

Oh, and Jizzy, could you just start one main thread for bitching about the season, and keep posting in it? Maybe start a blog or something. Not that I don't value your opinion, I'd just prefer to see it condensed into one thread rather than, say, 14 different ones.

Jizzy's Bipolar Blog.

I'd read that.

It's always been Frank. I really feel that we had a chance to get to the playoffs the last two years if we had a better coach. It's not that Frank is bad; he's actually quite competent. But he's just not the type of coach who wins championships, not yet. I feel we'd actually be betterwith Eddie Jordan or Byron Scott.

Riley or Jackson's offenses would never struggle to put up points or go through the droughts this team goes through on a nighly basis. None of those guys would share the type of infatuation Frank does with Collins and finally did you seriously just compare two HOF coaches to LF
