A couple of thoughts on this year's Halloween....

1, apparently, my younger son's interpretation of "take 1 or 2" means 1 or 2 HANDFULS....

2, it's going to take years to eat the close to 10 lbs of goodies (not to mention all the candy we didn't give away).... &

3, by far the coolest thing I ever seen at Halloween has to be the guy we saw tonight walking around with hit pet Peregrine Falcon on his forearm..... He said he goes hunting with it... Its like a gun with a personality....

That's cool Hammer. I love how kids see life thru a different set of eyes or angles, parents oft forget, yet are the recipients of such candid spontaneous humor.

1 or 2 handfuls, not one or two bags full?

I love Peregrine Falcons, as much as a Golden Eagle, which we get alot of in the Mojave foothills. Yet for bald eagles, I've only seen those in Colorado, and Alaska.

Thanks for the touch of Halloween, when my boys were small, that was one of the funnest nights of the year...no doubt....thanx for sharing hammer....!

I've seen a bald eagle fly over our house .... We live ~1 hour north/north west of Philly.... And 1 town over, both my wife & I have seen a pair flying together in sync over a small stream like some fighter jets do keeping with all the twists & turns of the stream.... I've also seen them on a lake a couple of towns over in the other direction & know there's a nesting pair there.... And when we went camping last summer up near Scranton & Wilkes-Barre 8we went to a game Jeter was rehabbing in) we saw bald eagles almost non-stop.... Our campsite was at the edge of the lake that also had a nesting pair.... We even saw 5 together.... Never saw any the brief time I was in Colorado and haven't been to Alaska ywet unfortunately.

Peregrine falcons are awesome though.... I've always loved them, Golden Eagles, Osprey, & Red Tailed Hawks.... Seen them all in the wild too... ;)

As a kid the big thing was filling up a sock with powder & hitting friends with it, last year I was on a bus when an egg came flying through an open side window & striking a woman in the side of the face.

That's Mischief Night, not Halloween....

Maybe Rick, but I just think he had candy on the brain & wasn't hearing me to take less.... His older brother listened.....
