THOMAS ROBINSON A BLAZER

Talent acquisition is the name of the game, so this deal is a no brainer.

You're assuming that Robinson has more talent than KP and Todorovic. That remains to be seen, but I certainly have my doubts given his rookie season.

Hmm. Well, I will cling to hope, then. It would be nice to be proved wrong in this instance. (Also to be proved wrong about T-Rob being shit.)

I say we offer a young power forward prospect who was picked before Damian Lillard for Asik. Evidently he's just oozing talent.

I think Todo won't come for 3 years at best. So it is between KP and TRob. I will admit that KP intrigues me and he might be better than TRob at this moment. Hopefully not in two years though.

I admit I put almost no stock into faceless Euros. Some never come over. Some are Rudy Fernandez. Whatever.

What would work for Asik?

I've always liked Lin as a backup -- but not on that contract.

Well that covers the b\u PF....

Still need the starting center, veteran b\u PG (this will likely be a vet minimum pickup) and a vet SF to push\replace Claver.....

nice pickup....

It's true we may not have the best offer on the table for Asik. If so we look elsewhere.

What's fun is Olshey can still go in a number of directions. Youth movement? Trade Aldridge? Keep Aldridge and try to build a playoff team?

You should look at Speights a bit closer before making such a statement. Brewer shoots well from 3 and plays very good defense.

I have, he's a 45% shooter. For a PF/C in his 5th year that's awful.

The guy just hasn't gotten a chance to play. Keith Smart killed his development in SAC, and there were too many PFs in HOU. He's gonna be a better Hickson, just watch.

I hope so. He just looks so undersized whenever I see him. I certainly can't see us playing him at C like we did with JJ.

I lived in Philly and paid close attention when they aimed to clear the way at PF for him and make him the mainstay and how big of a disaster that was. Dude is a worse Hickson. We have no need for that.

So they save money I think you could only give them Matthews and a 1st round pick in 2016. Actually I not sure that saves them money. Doesn't Asik have a weird contract where it is 5 MIL 1 year and 15 MIL the next?

I also wonder if this deal was really good for the Rockets as part of a wink with deal later for Asik?

I personally think it's kind of a weird move considering what a poor rookie year TR had on both teams. not as excited about this as everyone else seems to be.

Faceless Euros like Omer Asik, Jonas Valanciunas, Nicola Pekovic, Danilo Gallinari, et al? I bet you'd never heard of them when they came over, had you?

Is there anyway we can unload Freeland and his bloated contract for space?

GET ASIK NOW

Without a doubt a playoff team next year with him

Robinson was put in situations last year where he couldn't thrive. He was one of my top 3 draft prospects last year. That should say a lot to you guys.

This can't be true. There weren't rumors/leaks prior to this trade.

Anyhow, good move to strengthen the bench. Robinson WILL find a niche in the NBA, and he'll get the PT in Portland.

There go the Landry rumors, by the way.

How long did those guys toil around in Europe? What has Valanciunas done in the NBA to get lumped in with those other guys?

Thought you never liked Robinson or were you just trolling us?
