THOMAS ROBINSON A BLAZER

So you are just trolling?

I summed up my thoughts on this subject and have nothing to prove to you.

It's ironic that one of the two who trolled me (quoted by me 6 posts above) now says that I'm trolling back. Maybe I am, but who started it?

CF's post wasn't in response to you or directed toward you; so how exactly is it that he was "trolling" you? Methinks the lady doth protest too much...

I find it funny that there are still people on this board who think Jlprk is a real poster

You think that Post #265 was unrelated to me, a Sergio booster, when it leapt onto the PapaG post right before it? Whatever you say.

It had nothing to do with you in particular, unless you are in the group that think every late round pick is a star. In that case, I can see why you are offended. Most of the time I skip over your posts.

I'm not offended. I was just arguing with you. That big bully Platypus got in the middle of a fun argument. Blame him.

And keep skipping my posts. I do and it saves me a lot of time.

Remember when posters were clamoring for Rudy to start for the Blazers over Roy?

So do I...
No. I don't. Perhaps you arrived at that memory on one of many acid trips?

Been watching more videos of Thomas Robinson.

If he can develop a consistent jumper he could be a pretty good player. He has a really quick first step off the dribble and he just blows by the defender, and has a pretty nice spin move to go with it, too. This obviously leads opponents giving him space to prevent that from happening.

Get in the gym and develop that jumper.

I've never done acid. What an odd thing to post. Anyhow, I recall on BBF some posters who thought Roy should be traded because Rudy could fill his role as starter.

I think he got you mixed up with me. I don't know how, since I'm so much better looking than you.

Thinking of him inspired you to start that thread, longing for "New Faces on the Board"?

I read that Sacramento harped on that and failed. He now says that he wants to return to what he was when drafted--a rebounder and defender. It sounds like the shooting should wait at least a year.

I remember that discussion. After his rookie season, some posters had an inflated view of what Rudy was.

I was one of those people that thought Rudy could make Roy expendable. That's not quite the same as saying Rudy was better than Roy... Had Rudy not suffered the back injury, who knows. Pre-injury Rudy in Stotts offense would have been fun to watch. And in hindsight, moving Roy wouldn't have been such a bad thing.

The talk was moving him in 2007, though, because Rudy should start over him. I don't think a Blazer team w/out Roy makes the playoffs in 2008-10. Trading Roy on his rookie contract wouldn't have netted enough in return in terms of talent to make the them better.

A 1:1 trade wouldn't have brought back equal value on his rookie contract, but Roy would have had huge value as part of a package deal. A couple years later, we had squat to show for him...

aka we want to develop him so we cant trade lma if we have to?

Then why weren't those posters advocating trading Rudy for a great asset if he was almost as good as Roy?

It continually dumbfounds me why we have so many posters here that want to trade away the best player in the trade for multiple assets to fill roster holes instead of us keeping the best player in the trade. They don't seem to understand that quality is more important than quantity when building up a team.

Different type of player. We want to develop T-Rob so that LMA doesn't have to work so hard. If he reaches his potential becoming a beast on the boards and defensive end he could become a big reason for Aldridge to stay.

This is why I don't really want to mess with bringing in Brandon Wright. I don't want him taking minutes from Robinson. Of course, if we bring in Wright it could mean that Leonard is not developing like they thought he would.

Yep. We will need a good three big rotation. Just because Robinson may turn out to be a beast, could mean he gets the majority of minutes on the bench. Maybe even finish the 4th with Aldridge moving to center.

I don't think Brandon Wright would be brought in as a prospect to develop, but just as a decent player to bring off the bench at both PF and C when needed. You might be right, I really hadn't thought about how that would affect T-Rob or M-Leo. I want the extra talent off the bench, but I don't want to stifle our youth.

M-Leo? How about "MyLe"--pronounced "Miley". Until he shows himself to be tougher than Hannah Montana, I think that's his nickname.

MyLe it is!

e:Even going to use it on Reddit to make it catch on.

Yeah, that's really my point. Right now we're on the verge of being 2-deep at every position. I don't want to start going all Trader Bob and bringing in vets that demand minutes and fuck things up. Don't let Brandon Wright be our Detlef.
