Portland Police cited Thomas Earl Robinson, of the Portland Trail Blazers, for driving his Porsche 107 miles per hour on Interstate 5 Friday morning, October 25.

An officer “observed a white 2013 Porsche Panamera traveling at a high rate of speed on the freeway,” said Sgt. Pete Simpson, Portland Police Bureau, in an email. “The officer’s LIDAR would clock the vehicle at 107 MPH in a 55 MPH zone.”

Robinson, 22, a power forward, was acquired by the Blazers in June during a trade with the Houston Rockets.

Robinson was cited for violation of the Basic Rule (100 MPH +), which carries a fine of $1,150, Simpson said.

Robinson was polite and cooperative during the encounter, Simpson said.

But, what I really want to know is did he try to show them a basketball card as an ID?

BNM

Since I was actually pulled over for going 145 on the freeway, I think t rob needs to grow a nut sack and use his sportscar like a real man!

Qyntel's problem was:

He was driving while black;
He was speeding;
He was stoned;
He didn't have his driver's license on him;
So, he showed the officer his Basketball Card to prove he was who he said he was, and that he did not in fact steal the car, which of course would have been the 'natural' assumption under the circumstances (see points one through four above).

Not a big deal really. Canzano is salivating over this news though.

I've always wondered how a dude that's 6'9 can fit in a Porsche.

A real man would have been gone. And not a stupid man who stays on the freeway. My girl likes to remind me of the time we ditched my 98 z28 in a residential area and she had to walk home five miles in heels.

A real man would pull over and fist fight the cop, stealing his patrol car, gun and manhood!

If you can afford a fast car, you can afford to rent some track time to speed legally.

Risking other people's lives for a quick thrill is immature and a good reason to revoke a driver's license.

And his own life. It may not matter to him but I'm pretty sure there are those that it will matter too.

First this, then the return of the Jail Blazers 8-)

Everyone in section 107 at the Moda Center should get a fake ticket with TRob's autograph on it for opening night.

the good news is he wasn't drunk and didn't have any drugs on him.
