Thomas Robinson injured (right thumb ligament tear)

At the start of the fourth quarter of Tuesday's summer league game vs. Atlanta, Thomas Robinson left Cox Pavilion with team doctors. He was noticeably upset.

Robinson no longer had hist jersey on when he left. Was just wearing team warm-ups. Appears to be done for the day. No indication on extent of injury.

No, I think the injury happened on that and-one drive that he had where he went down hard.

It could be pretty serious if he broke his thumb.

Though when I was watching the game, to me it seemed like the rebound, I saw him wincing at that moment and grabbing thumb unlike after the and1 fall, but idk

Well, it's possible he hurt it and didn't realize how much it hurt until that rebound? I don't know. Either way, if it's a break, I doubt he plays again.

Apparently the recovery time for a broken thumb is [edit] up to 16 weeks.

It happened with just over 3 minutes to go in the 3rd. ATL was on a fast-break, Robinson went high to try to block a shot and landed awkwardly, causing him to reach his arm out to help break the fall. He immediately clutched his hand and asked to come out as he was coming back up the court.

So he might have landed on his thumb... ouch.
