<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Williams is a special talent and is better offensively than scouts initially thought. Bosh is one of the finest offensive talents in the world, combining quickness and agility with great timing and shot-making skills. If Williams can learn to beat defenders from the high post by using solid jabs and counters when they take his jump shot away, like Bosh does, he can become the two-way player the Nets have lacked at power forward since Kenyon Martin.</div>

its goin to be a lot of hard work for swat to become bosh... he needs to establish a consistent midrange jumper... cuz if he doesnt have that, defenders just back off to play the drive...

As long as Sean doesn't become a complete jump shooter, like Bosh is at times, I don't mind this at all.

Although, I would rather have him develop a post up game before he develops moves in the high post. That should be his number 1 priority, IMO. We already have a big man who can shoot from mid-range in Krstic. Sean should be studying Tim Duncan, not Chris Bosh.

I hope Sean will have very short break this summer. That's all.

WORK WORK WORK he's got plenty of WORK to do!

I hope hes hungry bout gettin better and determined

is it me or does sean play awkwardly to you? like his offensive game isn't smooth and he doesn't seem balanced in a way. the way he plays offensively just doesn't seem fluid. sometimes when he grabs rebounds too, he just seems off balance even tho he's by himself.

you got a point there

well you can teach offense and teach proper body mechanics... but you cant teach freak of nature and height!

i dont see seany putting up 25 ppg at anytime over his career, he needs to develop a post game first

Putting up 25 ppg for a big man isn't easy.

KG never has put up 25 ppg anytime over his career. Tim Duncan did once, but his second closest season is 23.3 ppg.

Honestly I want Sean studying Kenyon Martin film. Sean's got a decent nose for running the break, but his priority should be back-to-the-basket post moves, and then extending the range to his jumper.

^ i don't really care if sean become a dominant offensive threat, i just want him to keep the defense honest. we already have boone who is clueless outside of 5 ft from the basket. a post set and a jumpshot would do but most importantly, confidence. he cannot stop shooting even if he misses 2-3 in a row.

imagine if sean had sam perkins range.

Kenyon Martin might be a more realistic goal. Aside from the length and athleticism, there's not much in common with Chris Bosh. Bosh came into the league with an already pretty developed offensive game and a pretty diverse skillset.

keon clark is the best comparison. kenyon was much more physical then sean

I rather have him study KG. He's a guy that is not very strong physically, but very strong mentally. Both have narrow frames and great athleticism. I don't think he will ever be KG, but he won't be Bosh either. Might as well study the master rather than a disciple.

Nenad needs to study (actually all big men should) Duncan's footwork, patience and passing ability in the post. If he could learn half of what he does it would improve his game tremendously. I think he can.

I wouldn't mind him becomming something close to Chris Bosh as long as Collins never comes back to the East.

His back to the basket game is akward like someone stated and he has a nice first step and speed but he doesn't often use it right.

I was looking through the rest of that article and if there's any rookie that should be learning from Chris Bosh, it'd be Brandon Wright.

I think next year Sean's goal should be averaging 10 pts., 7 rebs, and 2 blocks. And to do that, he needs to avoid fould trouble so he can play between 24-30 minutes a night. That's realistic, since he's averaging about 7, 5 and 1.5 this year. Maybe in two years he can get to 14 and 10. He's got to get stronger and improve his ball handling and footwork. I think he's shown nice touch from 12-15 ft., and that's only going to get better. Someone mentioned he should model his game after Amare. He doesn't have that skill set or strength yet (and might not ever), but he could learn from Amare's great touch around the rim on leaners and floaters and how he draws contact for fouls, rather than avoid it. Sean would be smart to try and do that a little, as would Boone.

He should be modeling his game from Amare. They have similar body types.

using jabs is not effective in my opinion...they may take out the defensive player out of position but it also takes you out of proper position for the shot so it makes the shot harder to make...by the time you get your balance correctly the defender would have already recovered...bosh probably already was doing that move since high school so he can shoot it well out of balance and out of proper position...

SWat should first learn how to stroke it when he's free using proper shooting mechanics instead of worrying how to shake off a defender...meaning countless hours learning from thate...

Definitely agree. Looking at the article, it's blatantly obvious that these ESPN bums barely know what they're talking about.

He should definately try everything he can to mold himself into Amare Stoudemire. Before the draft a lot of scout said Sean reminded them of a younger and more raw Amare. Also, I know Stromile isn't exactly a great role model but he does have an advanced game of Sean's. He can teach Sean how to be a physical presence and be stronger in the paint. If SWat can stay hungry and get past the rookie wall he's got a great future and the sky's his limit.

Might as well have Sean become like Wilt, if he averages 50 ppg and 20 rpg the Nets would be in good shape.
