This is a disgrace that has been allowed to grow in frequency for nearly 60 years, despite legislators attempts to curb it with tough laws, resulting in several high-profile manslaughter cases in the last decade. Local juries, culled from a population which is roughly 5% "Followers of Christ church" members, have been ridiculously lenient with their judgements, despite the dozens of child graves and a child death rate 26 times that of the general population. Their church cemetary has more children than adults in it. So much for the validity of their "beliefs".

There are a couple thousand members in the "Followers of Christ church", with a collective IQ of about 80,600. You do the math.

The church migrated here from Kansas, and has bases in several of the most under-educated, racist communities across the NW.
