Thought Experiment concerning team loyalty

Russell Westbrook / Raymond Felton
James Harden / Lance Stephenson
Chandler Parsons / Hedo Turkoglu
Draymond Green/ Glen Davis
Joakim Noah / Andrew Bogut

I'd hate that team with a firey passion but dammit... We probably win a title lol

Imagine your least favorite players (presumably non-Blazers). Now imagine that the GM of the Blazers suddenly trades all the current Blazers (unless one of them is one your your least fave league-wide - that one gets kept) and acquires all your least fave players instead. Also imagine that the experiment is a bit of a disaster, and the team performs very poorly.

Do you support the Blazers? Is your support tempered in any way? Do you watch every game or tell yourself "I'll wait for the team to change". Or do you actually make an effort to switch your loyalty to another team?

Unless the player is an anal-rapist named kobe, I'm true to my team. If PA hired kobe, I'd ignore the team until they had a new owner.

Not sure what to make of jlprk defending rape and molestation recently. I must have missed an OT argument or something.

We were talking about, if the Blazer roster becomes terrible, and suddenly SlyPokerDog predictably starts rating the players by their sexual histories (not just rape and molestation, as you said). The 1-dimensional shtick gets tiring, especially when I saw the same "sex enforcement class of leaders" diatribing against gays only 1 generation ago, when gays were fighting this mentality of seeking deviants, that they now embrace. Study sexual history instead of jumping onto the bandwagon of the moment. You were the hunted a short time ago; now you want to be the hunter. There are plenty on the Religious Right who can fulfill that role. She would be more useful simply fighting to push gay freedom, than spending 100% of her time attacking heterosexual deviance, making anyone favoring sexual freedom defensive instead of furthering the cause. In the 70s, some people in the media were actually able to advocate more sexual freedom, you know. It wasn't like it is now.

I'm right there with you man, gangbangs, full on around the world's, sounding, ass play, space docking, hot garys, german potato salad, the more the merrier really.

Not a fan of rape and molestation though.

jlprk is on my ignore list, so I don't know what he said. He got on my ignore list when he said rape is basically a misunderstanding or something women make up (men are also raped of course, guess they also make it up)

Blake Griffin is not my most favorite person but I don't think he's in the Patterson/Bryant class.

I'm with you. Now he's like Dark Matter: you can't detect it but you know it's there because of the effect it has on observable things (like other posters saying "Jesus, man!") I do not make light of mental illness, so I am not joking when I say I wonder if there are some meds he's stopped taking.

I never said that. Link? What I said was that it's your favorite word. You repeat the word incessantly and compulsively, almost always out of context to the thread.

Unlike those who belittle your Euro favoritism, I have always enjoyed your information. I think you add a lot to the board.

Why do you ignore people for telling the truth? Thirty percent of women believe in ghosts, surely some women must lie to themselves about what constitutes rape AND about the ethical disgrace of false accusation. I can't speak for him, but I sincerely doubt that jlprk would fail to believe in "actual" cases of rape.

I challenged her to find the link, and she won't, because I didn't say that. I'm just tired of one neurotic yapping about it in every other post. Occasionally, fine, but enough already. I grew up reading daily manhatred from Ann Landers & Dear Abby, and it made millions of us, men and women, repressed all of our lives. This country doesn't need new replacements for them, herding our sexual beliefs. I would think gay people would understand this more than anyone else, because they've been oppressed and imprisoned for centuries.

Paine Tablet, I know you don't speak for jlprk. You also don't speak for me. You seem unaware of what he said. Who I chose to ignore is entirely my business and I feel no need to justify it to anyone.
