Paul Pierce recently said that the three point line has changed the game not for the better. I agree that it’s run down the court and chuck a three point shot. I would propose the three point line only comes into affect the last three minutes of each quarter. Get better movement in the game. Stats on the three way to many shots.

I looked it up yesterday, and the lesgue on average in 2025-26 shoots 37 3PA on 89 total FGA. I 1995-96, it was 16 on 80 total. So yes, 21 more 3PA but we’re also shooting 9 more shots a game.

Accuracy was actually better in 95: .367 vs .359… i honestly think changing FT rules to be 3 to make 2 would drop the attempts a bit. But I don’t think it’s actually a problem.
