Is this new GM going to sit idly by and watch the window close, or does he intend to do something constructive?![]()

So we now officially have our first Olshey Hater....
Lol, you cant sign 5 (FIVE!) players every day...
Why not?
First rule of Sportstwo.Com place Maris on Ignore.
Second rule of Sportstwo.com place Maris on Ignore.
Makes me like Olshey that much more.
LOL! Canzano was saying the same BS today. Nice to know where you're getting your chit from.

Cause you would run out of roster room

So we now officially have our first Olshey Hater....
Man, what a bunch of hyperbolics you guys are today. I have never met Mr Olshey and certainly have been given no reason to hate him as yet.
I'm just hoping against hope that change is here and that this is the guy who's going to earn his keep. I'm rooting for him to be named Exec of the year.
But given our wealth of cap space and near-future lottery picks I was really expecting us to go after Howard.
Maybe he's got an unlisted number?![]()
Part of the problem is that Howard's already said he's not signing anywhere but Brooklyn next year. So do you want to pony up a big package for a guy who'll probably leave you with nothing? Additionally, ORL wants young player, cap relief and draft picks. We have the first two, but we can't trade a pick until 2018, and that's not enough.
I would be shocked if Olshey didn't give ORL a call. I would also be shocked if they did anything but politely say "Sorry Neil, but you're not even in the ballpark."
I think they'd trade him to anyone who wants him just for the first 2 (rather than get nothing next year), and we've got nobody I'm all that attached to.
You might think that, but that's exactly what Brooklyn was trying to offer, and Orlando said no way.
Brooklyn offered Blazer players to Orlando? I kinda doubt it.
Funny guy, you are. Nets were offering Brook Lopez, Marshon Brooks, and 3 draft picks. That's two talented young players, plus cap relief--exactly what you said Orlando would trade Howard for. They didn't.
If they wouldn't accept that package, there's no way they'd take anything we'd offer.
