The 13th place Golden State Warriors only have ONE more loss than the 7th place defending champion Dallas Mavericks. This is insane.

7. Dallas 23-20
8. Houston 22-20
9. Minnesota 21-21
10. Portland 20-21
11. Utah 19-21
12. Phoenix 19-21
13. Golden State 17-21

I can't remember any year where 13 teams had a chance to make the playoffs this late in the season.

41 games is usually the halfway point.

I don't remember it even being like this at the halfway point, jlprk

Even Denver (6th) has 19 losses. So 6th-13th have only 2 losses separating themselves. Also, what if the Clipps, Lakers and Memphis go on a 3 game slide? They have only 16 losses. 3 losses in a row, then they can slide bigtime. The top two teams (SAS and OKC) have positioned themselves with a very nice cushion. From 3-13 is only 4 losses separating.

I understand why people would rather finish 8th than 10th. What I don't get, are the people who would rather finish 10 than 13th.

one thing to remember... blazers have an easy april should they win 1-2 games on this trip

thats assuming they dont blow it up
