The last twelve months have been wild for me. I was a techno-optimist, but that has been beaten put of me to the point where I’m trying to get out of anything technological beyond the absolute necessities. Hell, I don’t even use spellcheck or autocorrect on my phone anymore and my typing has improved immensely. You really do just forget how to do things the second you don’t have to anymore. The struggle makes you human.

I think ive used chatGPT 3 times ever. I dont even think about it when writing or doing anything. I spent decades learning words and sentence structure, im not going to take the easy road unless I absolutely have to.

I have noticed I scan screens and read paper.

The latest episode of Law & Order shows a grief bot, an AI version of a woman's late husband, that first encourages her to commit murder and then, when prosecution case is falling apart, advises her to confess. At the end of the episode one of the assistant district attorneys tells the other she is going home to read a book.
