One would think that kind of a respite this late in a playoff hunt would be appreciated. But the record after long layoffs, like a lot of things this season, is confounding. Rather than coming back rested and ready, the Nets have returned looking lackadaisical and definitely not ready. A repeat of that now would be devastating, Lawrence Frank points out. I think we will still make the playoffs. I think that the Knicks and the Pacers have lost chemistry these last few games and not enough momentum to get into the playoffs. I think that the Magic and Nets will have the final 2 spots in the east.
