what does it take for you, you enjoy pain watching this team?
Blowing it up will be more painful.
get a scorer and a backup pg.... maybe someone who does both. that fixes issue.
shit thats bayless. wow cho fucked us
Aldridge, you're prob not going to get value for him.
If you can get out from under his contract, you have to do it. I'd trade him for an expiring contract that never even saw playing time.
His contract isn't nasty. A replacement PF at his contract level will be worse than Aldridge is.
The contract length is what I'm talking about. If we can get an expiring contract for him, you do it.
We won't be able to build through Free Agency until Roy's off the books.
Trading for an expiring is extremely short sighted and reactionary. Also, without a target, its useless...we've seen what happens with imaginary cap space.
Btw this team has an issue right now with Roy/Matthews/Batum.
Matthews is too good not to start and Batum is a failure off the bench. He's a glue , not a bench scorer like Outlaw was.
Obvious answer is probably Roy off the bench but that's just isn't going to happen anytime soon. I hope the team doesn't view this as a time to get rid of Batum since there's no place for him in the starting lineup where he needs to be.
Even if Roy was healthy it'd be a problem. Don't want to lose a young talent like Batum(depending on the return).
Unless big changes are made to the CBA, cap space can also be used to make lopsided trades.
I see a future of Batum/Matthews starting at the 2/3.
The only problem is finding a way to get rid of Brandon Roy.

which we have already failed at. lopsided trades are made with Expiring Contracts.
Such as trading LaMarcus Aldridge for an expiring contract.
