So...
Are these sources real? i.e. actually inside the blazers organization?
HCP has said a couple of times that releasing this type of info would get him fired. So, was the release of this info with the permission of Olshey?
Why would Olshey or anyone inside the blazers organization want this info public? Are they trying to prepare the fans for what just a couple of weeks ago would have been a reach? Or, are they trying to get other teams interested in Lillard because their real target is someone else (i.e. Harrison Barnes). Maybe they're trying to increase the value of the #6 pick for trade purposes?
It's confusing because on the surface, giving away this type of info is terrible.

Two separate sources have confirmed that point guard Damian Lillard won the hearts of Trail Blazer officials with a solo workout for the team earlier this month that was sensational.
The sources go on to gush...
Source 1:
Lillard was said to be near flawless in the session, during which he was put through shooting drills and drills that tested his skills as a pick-and-roll point guard.
One person at the workout said, "I swear, he missed two shots the whole time -- that's all. He was amazing."
Source 2:
"It's the best workout we've had here since Kevin Durant," he said, echoing what others have said about that workout.
