Here is video evidence of just how much he has improved. His passing is absolutely stellar in this, I also see an improved handle. Yes, it's still his greatest weakness on offense, but it's clearly to these eyes, getting better.

Enjoy!

Everything Shae does looks effortless. Like he's not even working hard. Granted, it's preseason and opposing players generally aren't working that hard either, but those highlights are nice, and his skills and better understanding of what to do and how and when to do it are evident.

I did.

16.8/4.1/3.7 on .491/.390/.846

This was James Harden’s statline in his 6MOY campaign. It’s hard to imagine Shae being that efficient, but I’m fully convinced he can average 3+ apg off the bench. What’s going to really help is if guys like Camara, Walker, and Murray can shoot the ball.

He's able to find the dead spot in the defense and rise up. One of the vids shows CB coaching on this. Apparently, he's listening.

He looked like he wasn't playing hard or smart in SL. Glad to see that change.

btw, who thinks he hasn't improved? Have there been posts?

Never thought of Harden, but Sharpe's ability to elevate can be used to make difficult passes out of a crowd. Saw some of that last season.

Shae seems to be pretty good at getting hit and maintaining control, including very studiously staying outside the circle when he lands. The Harden comparisons aren’t exact but his game is more well rounded than I expected.

Also that midrange fade of his is deadly.

shae can't skip steps. this isn't a race. if he learns how to play the right way puts in the effort and focuses on the handle, he's going to be a star. patience will be the key here—which will be difficult because stardom will seem like it's increased touches and usage away from happening. that's not necessarily the case with a guy like him who is so young and so talented.

I can't imagine anyone with an ounce of credibility saying Sharpe hasn't improved at all.
OP title aside, I've not heard anyone saying otherwise. I continue to think he's the Blazer player with the highest ceiling. That said countering other posts Ive read, I see no rush to give him all the minutes he can handle right off this season. I'm all for having him earn the alpha role.

An example is in my signature in fact. Others have said he hasn’t improved. Im pretty sure there was at least one other example in one of the game threads.

Here is the one from my signature directly below by BB. I guess you can't see my signature if you're on a phone:

I consider Simons and Sharpe to be the same kind of players. Flashy, talented, explosive—but not smart enough or disciplined enough to be great all-around players. I think Sharpe is going to be a bust. He’s probably already hit his ceiling.

I can't see your signature on any device because I set my preferences to not show signatures. Makes my forum experience so much cleaner.

Amazing to me that anyone thinks they can accurately judge whether a 19/20 year-old is/will be "smart" enough to be a great player. The descriptors used in that quote really smack of...(hmm, how to say this tactfully)...chromatic preconception.

I was curious so I goggled 'chromatic preconception'. These were the top results:

I can't decide whether to dive deeper or run away...
