Takes Philly outta the Mirotic trades, let’s do this Neil.

Yeah Jeez Louise that’s like...uhhh? At least they aren’t in the West. Balmer LOL

“I’d like to try this process thing they talk about”
They havent won anything yet. Took most of a decade to even get to a playoff team. If we were “in it” I think people would HATE it. I get the appeal (for whatever thats worth), but Im less and less inclined to think the process actually works.

That's a pretty big haul for the Clippers. They probably didn't want to pay him anywhere close to a max contract and weren't going to make the playoffs anyway.

Like it more for the Clippers.

Tobias is fine and a solid fit offensively, but feel like he's going to get overpaid. His impact has never matched the production.

It's partly why he's been traded so many times.

They have 4 all-star players, 1 of them is an MVP candidate.

Not only does the process works - it worked even though they made many mistakes and failed while doing it.

Doubt he stays past this summer in Philly. But damn that's a nice team.

And two firsts and Shamet for a 30 game rental is risky as hell.

I agree on paper they look good. Just think the whole tank for a decade and hope you eventually hit on players is an understandable strategy but Im not sold its the best one.

Shamet looks like a real player.

Re-do that draft and he'd go mid-lotto.

Philly is building a power.

Sixers get better. The Clippers give up.

For the record, so others don't have to look it up like I did.

Philadelphia acquires Tobias Harris, Boban Marjanovic, and Mike Scott while Los Angeles adds Shamet, Wilson Chandler, Mike Muscala, Philadelphia’s own 2020 first-rounder, Miami’s unprotected 2021 first-rounder, and a pair of future second-rounders. The two second-round picks will be the Pistons’ 2021 and 2023 selections.

Gotta love the Clips turning Blake Griffin into Landry Shamet in two easy stages. One assumes Jerry West knows what he's doing, but do(es) their fan(s)?

speaking of the impact/production ratio

PER: CJ 16.9....Harris 18.7
TS%: CJ .553....Harris .605
FT Rate: CJ .155....Harris .256
Reb Rate: CJ 6.0%....Harris 12.0%
assist/36: CJ 2.9....Harris 2.8
winshares/48: CJ .106....Harris .135
box plus/minus: CJ -0.2....Harris +1.6
value over replacement: CJ 0.8....Harris 1.7

Harris is a better defender than CJ as well. Now, he may get overpaid, but if he gets less than 28M/year, he'll be making less than CJ

It's partly why he's been traded so many times.

Harris sure appears to be better than CJ. At the minimum, he's on the same level. So then, if that caliber of play is why Harris has been traded 4 times, why hasn't CJ been traded once?

It was more "bad" luck that was really phenomenally "good" luck, than "process". But we've been over that before.

Don't forget the Clippers also got the pick that turned into Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in the Blake Griffin trade too. So Shamet, SGA, and two future 1sts.

well, some of you have been saying CJ is one of the worst shooting guards in the league.
