Well Ok.The strange thing is that my parents dont care if I drink. It's actually pretty funny. Believe me or not, its true.
 
Why would we not believe you? The U.S. is one of the few cultures that has this phobia towards "underage" drinking.
 
ok. But all my friends think it is odd. Because your parents letting you drink quite a bit at age 13 is quite rare.Also, my mom gave me a cigar on my 13th birthday. lol.
 
My Dad let me drink when I was 5. He educated me on drinking and I obviously wasn't downing bottles of Tequila at 5, but I was drinking wine and other stuff. It's not bad if you teach your children to be responsible about it.
 
CB4, I was being sarcastic. I dont think your cool.My parents would get mad if I drank when I was 18. I dont drink now or have an intention of doing so but if I did I could see them getting mad.I dont get grounded but if I did it would it would Probably be no computer for a week

Yeah exactly. All my friends sneak it and stuff. My parents just let me drink as long as I dont get too smashed.
 
Why Tony? If you get drunk then I could understand, but there's nothing wrong with drinking in moderation.

Drinking is stupid.... When you are older it can really <censored> you up.
 
Only if you are an addict and you get wasted every day. Casual drinking for adults is very common and very appropriate.
 
People who abuse alcohol obviously can end up with serious issues and become alcoholics, but for the majority of us who use it responsibily and in social settings, there's really nothing bad about it. If I ate McDonald's every day for every meal for the rest of my life then I'd be pretty <Censored> up too. (Not trying to reference a certain documentary based on that premises.)
 
Whoever mentioned drinking in moderation got it right. Getting drunk is pointless cus you just become such a moron. But, getting buzzed and tipsy is mad fun
 
Even if you drink in moderation you can get addicted it or have major side affects when you get older from starting at such a young age(if you continue) but not my problem and same here my parents would be really mad if they found me drinking
 
That's only if you abuse alcohol when you're older, if you use it to deal with your problems. If you're taught the dangers of alcohol and how to use it properly then that most likely won't happen.
 
I drink alchohol m,aybe once every 2 weeks. And when i do its not like I get wasted. I think if your parents ban it and label it as something that is very bad that it could get to you and you may start sneaking alchohol and drinking alot. Thats a bad approach. The best thing to do is to teach your kids that it is okay to have some alchohol every once and a while and to not make it out to be the devil.

Happy Puff the Magic Dragon Day.(a bit late though)I didnt celebrate because I don't do that <Censored>. It's one of my goals to get through high school without a smoke.

Im allowed to drink also are a lot of my friends, but i'd be lucky if i actually drank once or twice a month, its a waste of my money and its can lead to some health problems
 
Drinking a bit is not that crazy at 13 at all. It's not like I get wasted. Ive only gotten wasted once (NBA Finals last year, game 7). I just enjoy some alchohol every once in a while. I check with my mom usually every time, except for the time I got wasted. :biggrin:
 
Too bad im broke, I couldnt even pay for a "dime" of this <<Censored>>..I drink every once and a while..When im home alone I usauly get high..

If the dude wants to get high, its his choice not anybody elses, so if kids wanna puff the magic dragon im all for it as long as they know the consequences.
