According to ESPN, and in ESPN Magazine,
(March 31, issue): BTW-the Issue is worth the Money, even if you don’t subscribe to it.
This is the list below: PLEASE TELL ME WHO YOU THINK ARE THE TOP 10 SP's in MLB....
The Top Lefties in MLB right now are:
1-Clayton Kershaw-
L.A. Doy-yers (the Bums are the fucking doy-yers, until DTV gives me back my fucking Bums, ok?)
25 years old, 2 Cy Youngs, (voted 2nd in the 1 of 3 last years, which he didn‘t win the award). Has won the Triple Crown of Pitcher’s 2 of 3 years in a row. Won the ERA title all 3 years in a row-shades of Sandy Koufax in L.A. (blasphemy? Probably NOT).
2-Mark Price-
Tampa Bay
-would be a King if he played on a better team. Still the Crown of Southpaws is Kershaw’s for the taking.
3-Chris Sale-
Chicago Pale Hose
-same as Price, would be a King on a contender, and he needs run support. Sale looks like a young Randy Johnson, even on a bad team. Imagine if he were also on a contender….seems to be the biggest problem for most of these Top 10 SP’s.
4-Cliff Lee-
Philly-
-The crafty Lefty has still got it. Would be the Ace of any Contender. Philly needs to come alive, or Lee becomes a victim to a lack of run support, same as Price, Sale, and others…..
5-Madison Bumgarner
San Francisco
-I don’t even want to go there.
6-Cole Hamels-
Philly
-your fucking kidding me right. I loved this kid when he was a rookie on, till he blew his arm up. Also like Lee needs damn run support. Will his arm hold up, a risky prop.
7-John Lester-
Bosox
-Don’t even ask me, he’s a Bozox. Sorry fans!
8-Gio Gonzalez-
Nats
In my opinion, Gio belongs right behind Mr. Price.
9-C.C. Sabathia-
Yanks
A fit, health crafty Cy Young Winner, could wind up #2 or 3 on this list, underated here.
10-Francisco Liriano-
Pirates
-If he can duplicate last year, or his rookie year in Minnesota, this kid could be a King, on a over achieving team. Still striking out a batter per IP. Liriano pitched in 161 innings. Where did all the 250-IP SP’s go…???
