Nice article. I dunno if Neil is ready to spend that $3.4 mil yet though.

So the cap hold if we make the offer is $5mil? That's going to cut into our free agency stash if we exercise it.
Let Maynor prove it to Neil in the "Tank By Resting Lillard" phase of the operation.
Aha!If he's the guy Olshey wants at the backup PG spot, I'd think that the Blazers would make a move to resign him ASAP so that the cap hold isn't an issue.
The Blazers got a nice piece OF nothing. Maynor isn't that good.

He's 13 months into a recovery for his ACL. His coach said this last month:

Looking at stats, Maynor is a better 3-point shooter than Price. That's about it. He'll have his moments, but can he win any games with clutch shooting? Now, that would be a difference-maker.

You think that Maynor will be in he game during the final minutes?
We worked him out when KP was here. We passed, for I think, Shav Randolph?
Did Olshey get us this trade exception? Or was it Chad Buchanon?

In the post trade interview Olshey credited his cap guy -- good old what's-his-name. If I weren't so lazy I'd look it up. It was NOT Buchanon, LOL.Did Olshey get us this trade exception? Or was it Chad Buchanon?
I really would rather not looks at his stats. They mean very little right now. It all comes down to health. He was a
very good (Maybe even excellent) back up point guard before his injury, so the only thing I am concerned with his he 100 % healthy or not and will he ever be? (In terms of quickness) If he is or will be next year then it was a great trade. One less piece of the puzzle we need to worry about this summer.
I think/hope OKC was being very cautious with him and rightfully so since they had another decent back up. I assume he will fully recover, but you never know. He used his quickness to be successful. If he has lost it then all bets are off.
as long as matthews is banged up yes he probably will
