Miller, Przybilla, Fernandez, and Bayless

Parker and McDyess

(kidding, but would you do it?)

Of course. Which makes me even more pissed off about your thread.

Sure why not? It's not like the Blazers have a chance in hell of winning a title as it stands now. Might as well go out in a shower of sparks.

Yes I'd do it ...

ps. ABM, your thread titles suck

There have been worse threads. ;)

No doubt. Many of them from you. And even though I suspected it was total BS, you still had my hopes up for a few seconds.

PS: I'm sitting here enjoying burgers (cooked on my gas grill, no less ;) ) with BLAZER PROPHET and he egged me on to post this ridiculous thread. :)

Well with the Blazers imminent signing of Wes Matthews to a 5 year 25 million dollar offer sheet maybe there is a trade in the works -- like a sign and trade for Matthews where Rudy goes back to the Jizz?

I agree that all signs are pointing to Portland getting Chris Paul.

Sigh..... I wish people weren't so bored that they have to create threads like this. Where is Mixum and PapaG when you need em?

Highly doubt were making a trade without an official GM. We might be having trade conversations but nothing will happen until we see a GM signed.

You lie like a dog. And even after I helped you take that huge TV to the Goodwill. That said, if given the chance, I would have egged you on.

I jest about Rudy being used in a sign and trade here (he'll be used somewhere else).

But even though you're joking (?) I actually I think you're half right. If they get Matthews I'm guessing they think he and Babbitt can split time at the 3 and provide adequate production and his acquisition means giving up Nic as part of a trade for Paul won't mean we're relying on an untested rookie to fill the minutes at the three. Even if the Paul trade is just a pipe dream, if nothing else it means that they will have a surplus of attractive pieces that can be cobbled together in an effort to get a trade done for some high quality player.

Yeah, I was kidding that every move points to getting Paul. I think acquiring Paul is a pipe dream simply because I can't bring myself to believe that such a great player could be dealt. But IF a Paul trade were going to happen, the types of moves Portland is doing right now would be consistent with preparing for that.

So, that's something, I guess. ;)

I bet they would jump at the opportunity of making a trade without a GM. In their eyes it would make a point. That point being that it isn't/hasn't been about one guy in the Blazer front office this whole time. It has been a team effort. (not saying it is true, just that they would like us to think that)

So if there is an opportunity they will take it. I just am not sure there will be an opportunity to make that "big" trade.

They are also consistent with a boring and uneventful off-season.

So, that's nothing, I guess.

...of course there has to be a trade coming soon!!! I am still waiting for a rebounding monster PF off the bench and a GOOD PG.

I think a lot of people aren't giving Pendergraph the benefit of the doubt. I think he is a solid rebounder off the bench. We have a good PG, but our SG doesn't like playing with him.

We have no good threads because of that no-good, Allen. If Pritchard were still around we'd be hopping with threads and trades up the gazoo.

Deng put his Northbrook IL house on the market.

I would not make that deal. Parker is overrated.

He'd better give back that finals MVP trophy then.

So he won a Finals MVP. Big deal. He was playing against a Cleveland team with absolutely no decent point guard. Parker has no reliable outside shot. He also doesn't get enough assists for my taste.
