This might be a good point if Tony Parker hadn't won THREE CHAMPIONSHIPS.

I understand your point, but I don't believe Tony Parker was the reason for those three. His MVP award should have been Duncans and at the time of the championships, I don't think you would have put him in the top 5 at his position. I would pick at least 3 more important pieces on those teams before Parker, I don't see his place on that team any different than the PGs I mentioned before.

Or Isaiah Thomas didn't make Michael Jordan the Piston's bitch year after year after year.

MJ's trophies v. Isiah's trophies? Isiah won, 2? Then Jorden hit his prime and won 6, I don't think it's a valid point.

Or if Magic Johnson didn't lead his team to an NBA Championship as a rookie. But all those things happened.

Great performance, but Magic was drafted #1 by a team that was already a contender in the playoffs the year before and has Kareem. Magic is a legend of the NBA, Tony Parker is not.

And if it's about defense, why would you want Aldridge who barely plays any? Tony Parker is an excellent defender.

What I meant by that is that their are several criteria for Championship teams, one of which being Defense. My implication isn't that LMA was a better defender than Parker. I think there are several important criteria that usually hold true for Championship teams.
1) Defense
2) Explosive, scoring swingmen
3) Dominant Big Men
I feel that we will have a very good defensive team, without Parker and even allowing for LMA lesser defense. I also feel that LMA will be a dominant post player and paired with Oden will allow us to be very deadly. I don't think adding Tony Parker has the same overall effect as letting LMA mature would.

If it's about great post players, why would you want Aldridge who's post game is average at best?

He's fairly inexperienced still, this is his third season, I'll take average. As Oden develops and Roy and Rudy get even better, he'll be a constant threat to score buckets of points at PF.

The truth is it's never been about great post players, it's always been about dominant centers. When's the last time a PF lead team won a championship? Ever? And Duncan is a center so don't go there.

I think a dominant center is counted as a great post player. I don't think LMA will be the one "leading" our team to a Championship. I think it will be Roy and Oden. But I still believe that LMA will be vital in allowing those two to rise to the level we need them to be, I don't think Tony Parker does the same.

And let's not forget that Tiago Splitter is a great PF prospect.

 LMA is a better one.
