Kyrie has been balling out of his mind but he also happens to be out of his mind. While I hope we will take big swings immediately and wish we would have in the past to get Dame help that makes sense around him and with our coaching philosophies, I don't envy Mavs fans right now. Kyrie has voluntarily sat out games... he is a constant PR nightmare and I don't think he can be counted on at all. Out of the two players with mental health issues on that were on the Nets roster, I would rather roll the dice with Simmons than fuck with Kyrie. Also I don't think Simmons would cost you two starters, a FRP and 2 SRPs... I think if you traded two starters for Simmons the Nets would have to give you around that same amount of draft compensation.

Great trade for the Nets. If Kyrie can keep his shit together (very doubtful he can) and his game can mesh with Luka's (not sure how that works either) it could be a solid trade for the Mavs but the Nets getting those players and the picks is a home run.

im calling it now, wood for nurk, can wood get traded now if its sign & trade

They could give us permission to talk to him so we could agree to an extension in principle before pulling the trigger on the trade but I don't know if they want to trade an extremely mobile big for an extremely immobile big. That's not me saying I know they don't want to... I just don't know. If a team is cool with always running drop coverage and believes they can get Nurk to pull his head out of his ass when it comes to finishing strong around the hole and making the simple pass instead of the stupid one... then he should have plenty of value to fetch a guy like Wood but that's a lot. I'm pretty sure there are at least a few teams out there that would like Nurk but I don't know if Dallas is one of them.

I don’t think there’s a high likelyhood it will be a lottery pick
they're currently 1.5 games ahead of the 11 seed and have very little depth. a prolonged injury to luka or kyrie for 2 weeks and they're in the lotto.

The pick won't be determined for six more years.

dallas havent re-sign wood yet, hes unrestricted free agent to be, so the question is: do they want to re-sign him, i dont think they would risk losing him for nothing

theres a high chance they dont like him as a player or they dont want to pay him what he wants or maybe wood dont want to re-sign

Cool. Like I said, I don't know if they like Nurk or not there are reasons to like him and reasons not to. It's not an unimaginable trade, it could happen, it would make me happy so that makes me feel like it's less likely to happen.

Joe is working both Nets & Raps real hard. #1 target Durant and Joe will include anyone except Dame. If we could get Durant and Claxton.
Is this you hoping or this is something you've heard or read somewhere because that would be fantastic???

Big swing by Dallas. A number of teams still waiting on the Raptors to decide if they are sellers or not.
You dint wait for teams to be sellers you make them sellers. Just like Dallas did out of nowhere.

How did Dallas make the Nets a "seller"? That certainly seems like a contrived scenario, given the facts.

Prior to the arrival of Durant + 2, the Nets had a team of hard workers who improved. The super friends failed. The injuries to veterans made it risky from the get-go. Harden. Gone. Irving. Gone.

They have re-built some of Simmons’ value, but it won’t get back to his Philly value. Of course. They would like to trade him. More than obvious, right? Wipe it clean.

Keeping Durant? This year? Yes, unless they get the rebuild offer. This summer? The bidding will be intense.
This doesn't explain how Dallas made Nets a seller. Kyrie did that all by himself.

They obviously gave offered a package that they felt was good enough to deal today versus wait till Thursday.

Boy if we can make a play for Vanderbilt that would be MONSTROUS. Time to take that protection of the Chicago pick.

Maybe we can expand it to end Josh to NY, with Vanderbilt and Reddish coming back to us. I don't want Reddish, but we might be able to reroute him for a second or something, or get him to Orlando with a second for Mo Bamba.

Im thinking Cuban's the type of owner that will get involved when he's willing wanting to make a splash.
