I don't think Luka is the leader that LeBron was and always has been. So I think things could get dicey between the two or some other guys on the team. Kyrie is a disruptor and has disrupted enough teams that he's earned himself a deserved reputation for being hard to work with.Same way Kyrie/LeBron worked.
also, that Cavs team had a historically good offense with elite shooting. this Dallas team does not.I don't think Luka is the leader that LeBron was and always has been. a number of teams were but most the hype was around two teams, not Dallas. Cuban was aggressive.

It came out that Dallas wanted Kyrie before Kyrie even demanded a trade. This story started with Dallas and ended with Dallas.
Luka asked for help and got it. I doubt things will be “dicey.” Plus, this means Dallas can still win a game when Luka sits out. This is great deal for Dallas. I would assume KD wants out now. Should be a fun next few days. I feel bad for Nets fans.
Nah, they had fans before him, they’ll have fans after him. What’s crazy is before KD got hurt, they were becoming the clear favorite to win it this season. Kyrie leads the league in 4th quarter scoring. It was all going so well. They won't have many once Durant leaves.
This whole thing smells of LeBron making a phone call and Kyrie asking out then the Nets tell him “fine get out. TO DALLAS!”.Nah, they had fans before him, they’ll have fans after him. LOLThere it is AGAIN…”LOL”
Do you have an LOL button on your keyboard?

That's what this board is saying. There seems to be a fairly distinct difference between teams that are calling and teams that are being called. Portland is somewhere in the middle as they are getting some calls for Hart, and making calls regarding Nurkic. Portland would like to get involved with bigger type deals, but not having control over future Draft picks as of now is hampering those conversations.
Without those picks, the ask could include Any AND Sharpe. It doesn't seem like that is something the Blazers are open to, and I can't imagine many Blazer fans would be on board with that either.
I think some people are addicted to response, and are afraid their thoughts won't get enough attention if their posts are just part of an existing thread. How many trade threads do we really need?
After merging( i logged in to create one just like i sew now hcp did. Lol.) there are still 7 trade threads…
Is it really THAT important to be the owner/starter of said Thread, vs just posting in one of the existing?
just sayin…
You have actually thought this out Platty.I think some people are addicted to response, and are afraid their thoughts won't get enough attention if their posts are just part of an existing thread.
Separately, once threads are created and various conversations engaged in, people are concerned that those conversations will be diluted or lost if the various similar threads are merged together (which is why I hesitate to merge the myriad trade threads).

Addicted or need egos fed?
I do agree with merging though. Once a threD has been started and discussed merging dilutes alot Nd makes it hard to follow.
Would be nice if people took a moment to just post a Lebron trade idea in the trade ideas thread though, for example.
The need for attention is veey high for some around here i suppose…
Carry on wayward S2
Our TPE from Covington expires today, FYI. I don't think we'll use it, but we only have today if we were to.
We arent getting into the tax so highly unlikely that we use it i thinkOur TPE from Covington expires today, FYI. I don't think we'll use it, but we only have today if we were to.
Totally agree. Only was I could see us using it is if we did a straight swap, like Winslow for Vanderbilt, and the other teams also have a tpe, then we can create a new one in the deal. But I fully expect it to expire tonight. We arent getting into the tax so highly unlikely that we use it i think
Could you explain what that means? Sorry very ignorant re. CBA stuff. thanksOur TPE from Covington expires today, FYI. I don't think we'll use it, but we only have today if we were to.
Broken down super generically, without going into the details and specifics, when 2 teams make a trade, and there is a difference in salaries of the two sides, it creates a traded player exception, or TPE. There's different ways they are created, but simply, it's a difference in salary. So if we make a trade where we send out 20 million dollars, and only take back 10, we have a calendar year to "spend" that extra 10 million difference in a trade.Could you explain what that means? Sorry very ignorant re. CBA stuff. thanks
That would be a great way to kick the can down the road on the TPE instead of letting it expire.Totally agree.
