I hope the only change is trading Josh for future picks.

The reason I am not convinced is you have teams in the east who want him. (Boston, Philly, New York) if you were Danny would you trade him to a division rival instead?

Nope good point. Plus apparently the lakers are about to get him so

What if we don't land Vando? Seems like the competition for him is strong

I think the idea is to move Grant to SF. Not sure I agree but he does have better handles than I originally thought.

We are not getting Vando.

Vando being included in the deal takes the wind out of everyone sails.

I thought getting Vanderbilt might be the only move the Blazers make but that’s out the window if the reported 3-team trade is accurate. Who the fuck knows what Cronin’s plan is now.

And fuck the Lakers… the only team on the planet that could turn that atrocious Westbrook contract into D’Angelo Russell, Jared Vanderbilt and Malik Beasley.

A guy who got widely criticized on here for pulling a trade too quickly being nicknamed Slow joe shows how stupid some members here truly are.

The nickname was Sell Low Joe. I just forgot what the rhyme was.

I am getting sick and tired of the Joe Cronin hate -- He has done a pretty good job outside of that Clipper trade last year and who knows that might be partly an owners call or something but again who the hell knows. I am not saying Cronin is great or anything but he deserves better then the crap he is getting from some fans.

My biggest issue with this team front office wise is Jody Allen and the vibe i get from her something i cannot put my finger on but for some reason not a fan of hers and wish she would sell the team sooner rather then later.

I'd rather not get Vanderbilt than spend a first round pick on him. I think it's pretty clear that our offer of salary + two second round picks is pretty well known by this juncture. Clearly, the Jazz are wanting more, and perhaps they can use Vanderbilt in this scenario to actually get more.

There is really nothing the Blazers can do if the Jazz decide that this three-team deal is just more beneficial.

WHO IS CHRISTIAN WOOD!!??

That's what Ass2Mouth gets when he thinks about a DeSantis presidency.

it's seems pretty likely that Cronin had a tentative deal in place for Vanderbilt. It's almost certain that Ainge told Cronin he was going to wait till the last minute to see if he could extract more value for Vanderbilt in a last minute trade. That may be what is happening right now

if Vanderbilt is part of a larger 3 team deal, I know many here will use it as an excuse to bash the shit out of Cronin, without having a clue what the price would have been to keep Vanderbilt out of the larger deal....or what Utah got for including him

I'll be disappointed if Cronin does nothing. But I simply won't know what offers he was making and what offers he was receiving. I am pretty sure that Seattle has told him no tax and that really limits the options

Dame is out here killing himself night in and night out and Cronin is playing this slow.

Of course. But 1sts for expiring role players are tough to come by.
I'd do hartenstein and toppin for Hart, if we could then find a taker for nurk
You rang?
Jake Fischer: Boston has been exploring the combined outgoing value of Danilo Gallinari and Payton Pritchard, sources said, as the Celtics search for center reinforcements. Two names of big men that match that outgoing salary: Jakob Poeltl and Mo Bamba.
Nurk and Watford for Grant Williams, Pritchard and Gallinaro

That's the worst if it. Getting fucked by of all teams, the Lakers.

The question is once Westbrook gets cut, which contender will pick him up on waivers?

I'm reserving my judgment of Joe until tomorrow afternoon but if he lets this atrocious roster stay the way it is, I'll be livid. I don't want to here about not knowing what was and wasn't out there. GMs around the league are able to make their teams better. We have a team that is not necessarily high on talent but it isn't devoid of it either but what it is devoid of is roster construction that makes sense neither as complementary pieces or within the system of the head coach. It's Joe's job to correct that shit and Dame said it needs to be urgent and the way he is lighting up the league the front office should have some fucking urgency.

That being said, I think they do have some urgency and I'm not expecting hall of the roster to be turned over by tomorrow but I do think some meaningful trades will be made by noon. Prove me right Joe!
