YepWait... are you actually serious?
If Grant walks this summer we will have dealt CJ and Nance for Reddish and a first. So we traded CJ for Reddish and Grant plus 1st rounder? Is that correct
Their biggest chip is and probably always will be their franchise's golden goose status in the league. A star player on the Lakers has incredible marketing opportunities a step above any other market. They'll always be able to attract big time Free Agents.Meh, their 3pt shooting woes get the headlines and will be improved, but I still think their defense is a FAR bigger long-term issue.
They aren't a contender and just spoiled one or their last two major chips to play for the near future. I'm okay with this.
Damn… that’s sadIf Grant walks this summer we will have dealt CJ and Nance for Reddish and a first.

Well, Westbrick and a light protection 1st in a year when the Lakers are almost certainly lottery bound. It's really the pick that matters. That’s a helluva haul for Westbrick
hey! finally an idea I called for.According to fanspo, Knicks have their own pick and 3 protected picks from Dallas, Washington, and Detroit.
If we can get out hands on the Dallas pick or their own pick, it could give us as a liquid asset to play with later on before and during the draft to offset the one we might send to Chicago.
According to Woj it's lotto protected and if it doesn't convey this year it becomes 4 second round picks. The question is whose 2023 first is it, the Knicks have a claim on like 4 firsts in this draft. Maybe it's something clever like if any pick the Knicks have the rights to convey's outside of the top 14 we get it.What are the protections on the 1st?
Noooooooooooo![]()
Btw, my prediction for tomorrow is that we trade Josh Hart for a few seconds and a disappointing young player, maybe Reddish or Okoro. If we're lucky we pry away one of New York's protected 1sts.
Hahaha I called this one. Nice.
I'm cool with it if it nets us a C that makes sense in this system. And I'm with you.... I bet we have to send out the pick so we can dump Nurk's bloated salary.
Prepare to be disappointed.I'm cool with it if it nets us a C that makes sense in this system.
Oh, Olshey has conditioned me to be prepared.Prepare to be disappointed.
Getting a player with at least some unrealized potential, and a protected 1st or 4 2nds is actually more than I thought they would get for Hart. Not great, but not bad.
I'd wait to dole out that opinion until after tomorrow![]()
For that stand alone trade, not bad for a player they had to move.
you already aren't. And haven't been in the last I dunno how many years I've been on here. So what difference does it make? You're gonna be on here still complaining about the rigged NBA and how you don't care any more etc., and still spend time here. Lather, rinse, repeat! If we end up using the pick to offload Nurk's salary without much of a return, I'm not going to be happy.
