The Nets are going to get Collins and probably Anunoby

If you say “Every year at Christmas time,” you’re not talking about the year.”
Correct, which you didn't specify, so I assumed you meant it as written.

And we're up to 15 teams who have made trades leading up to the trade deadline. Next will make a majority.

Payton + Cam + Winslow + Keon gets you in the range salary wise for Collins.

Still time to expand our prior deal to get this done.

Curious if Atl would want Cam back or we have to send him elsewhere.

Cam asked to be traded out of ATL....so I am guessing they do not want him back

There just to many teams that has made solid trade ahead of us for us to be able to move up to a play-in team. But I like the moves in Reddish and thybulle due to there in Simons and Sharpe age. I believe that's where they need to build around with instead build around Dame. You can keep Dame for that leadership for the young guys. But there getting in here that can play the way Billups wants to play but I still question is Billups good to put all together.

Give us all your disappointing draft picks

I'd assume that it would be GPII for Wiseman as the base (given that we now picked up Thybulle), but I would need some real draft compensation coming back as well.

Especially since it's doing them a huge favor.

Would you and would they? I think we'd cut GB3. The Warriors could use a really big body in certain situations and Steve Kerr might think he could get out of Nurk what Terry and Chauncey haven't been able to.

If a Wiseman + draft pick(s) for GPII comes to fruition, it becomes clear that Cronin and team are playing for this summer and 2023-24 (whether that yields anything then is another question). And frankly, that's the better move than doing something stupid to try to salvage this season.

Collect youngish controlled players that might help (including Thybulle in this as restricted free agent with a relatively low QO) and first round picks, and see where the chips fall this summer. If Dame is still fully onboard and the opportunity presents, you have a pick warchest and some other young assets to play with. If the season goes to pot and he asks out, you are still flush with some interesting assets (and would collect more from the Dame trade). I will go down believing that even KD (with what we would have needed to give up) wouldn't have saved the 2022-23 iteration of the Blazers.

This would be size and athleticism. Better not overpay.

We've done a pretty good job of not overpaying leading up to the deadline, so far.

We're either gearing up for one big trade by gathering a lot of reasonably-priced assets for almost nothing or we're basically buying lottery tickets now and setting ourselves up for something this offseason or next.

If we're getting Wiseman, my guess is Cronin is doing it economy class; his value's never been lower and the Blazers at the very least need a bit more size.

Does Joe have something in the works for a different young mobile big like Mo Bamba???
