Trade Deadline: Thursday, Feb 20, 12:00 Pacific

i completely agree but if we don't make a move that will be the stated reason why

that's probably correct and it may be the case that we just don't have the assets to get what we want/need without giving up too much. However those who just say we can't risk our chemistry have their head stuck in the sand IMO, I am sure we are trying to do something but would not be surprised if it nothinh happems.

At a minimum I would like to see Barton cut so a roster spot can be opened to at least sign a FA big, maybe someone decent will get cut after the deadline, but get some big body

If they're just trying to dump salary, I'd send Mo, Leonard, and Wright.

I'd think it's some combo of dumping salary while also picking up a player. Don't think they'd go pure dump. Especialy when all 3 of those guys are still on the books for next season. I know Mo has said he is opting out. But if it was just expirings, I imagine someone else would. With Mayo locked in for 3 seasons, is there PT for CJ? CJ, Leonard, Claver, Barton?

Honestly, I like CJ more than I like Mayo. There's a reason why they're trying to dump him. Maybe he'd play better in Stotts' system though :dunno:

I don't like Henson enough to want to move CJ.

I like Henson and thinks he'd fit very well here. Second year player avg 11 and 8 with 2.2 blocks per game in 28 minutes. I'd do CJ straight across for him

I like CJ more than Mayo, too. I like Henson more than Leonard. Both Henson and CJ on our team are more than likely bench players for the length of their rookie deals, for the most part. Which then pushes it to a total value on the deal. Does Mayo and Henson get you more production than Leonard and CJ?

Probably but my biggest worry would be Mayo not fitting in with the "share the ball" theme the Blazers have this season. And I do really like CJ. Tough call if its even realistic

I'd have to say over the next 2 1/2 years Mayo/Henson is easily more productive than CJ/Leonard, plus Henson is already putting up 11 and 8 with 2.2 blocks per hame

i could see that being an issue if he was going to start but coming off the bench isn't really as big a concern to me

Olshey's office is a tomb. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm hearing NOTHING.

which OF COURSE means he's not doing anything.

Actually, that is the one thing I have heard; that we're being proactive. Olshey and his staff are working the phones, but nothing is leaking.

Me too. How long before we could retrade Mayo (if we got him without giving up CJ)?

Again...my feeling exactly. I like Leonard as a project, but Henson is 'safer' and able to produce.

In the short term, probably. I'm not sold on Mayo as a good fit or chemistry guy. I'd rather move Mo or Wright or someone else than CJ, and then retrade Mayo later.

Without getting your information source(s) in trouble, what kind of connection do you have? Do you have an old high school/college pal involved in the process, or just twitter and the like?
