Exclusive Trade for Kevin Love? Yea on Nay?

Would you? There are rumors of a KLove trade before the trade deadline. Should the Blazers be interested? It would be interesting.
1. Where's the poll?
2. Depends on the deal.

I wouldn't trade one of our "core" (haha, as if we have one). For example, I wouldn't trade CJ for him.

But I would trade one of our PF/C crew with some other DNPs, sure. He's better than any of them.

But since that won't get it done, I probably wouldn't.

I'd take him as a salary dump. But right now, the dude's salary to production ration is in salary dump territory. No way CJ!

CLE: Ryan Anderson+Gerald Henderson

-Why Do they do it? Two quality vets on expiring contracts, both fit the Cavs style of play.

POR: Kevin Love

-Why do they do it? Solidifies the third offensive piece they need.

NO: Noah Vonleh

-Why do they do it? Get a young piece with ton of potential in exchange for an expiring vet.

Say if we land him we go hard for Whiteside in the summer.

Dame / FA or Draftee?
CJ / Crabbe
Aminu / Harkless
Love / Davis
Whiteside / Plumlee
Lol, New Orleans would never do that.

It'd take at least Crabbe, Meyers, and Ed Davis.

Simmons suggests CJ for Love, straight up. The Cavs do it if they really want to get rid of Love.

My take is Blatt didn't take advantage of what Love could do. A different coach may figure it out.

Signing the assistant coach multi-year means a continuation of the system with adjustments. Lue already had major input, so Blatt's system is half Lue's.

The players might respect Lue more, but Love will still have a big problem.

Yeah but we wouldn't, and shouldn't, do that

On paper, Stotts seems like a perfect coach for Love's game. Would be an interesting tweak to the roster. They need expiring contracts. Kaman and Henderson would play in Cleveland and help them in the playoffs..they need size and a combo guard

No, they need good players on good contracts. They won't be under the cap for years, and saving $10M on the cap realistically saves them $20M ish

Moving Love gives them salary relief..boosting the holes on their bench on the cheap seems to be a good move for the playoff run. I'm sayin' I wouldn't trade a CJ for Love but if they could get him for a handful of older players and a young project..I'd be tempted to bite

This. I thought this the second I watched his first game as a cav in Portland.

-NO Gets POR Future 1st

Would you guys do this? I'm leaning towards no

The Cavs would be crazy to give up all that for 7th man types.
Crabbe is perfect for Cleveland. He'd get Shumperts minutes but he can also play backup 3. He's that 3 and D guy they've been trying to get. Anderson isnt a 7th man, he's a legit starter. Only a slight downgrade from Love. Plus Leonard gives them even more spacing for Lebron and Kyrie.

If I'm Cleveland I'd try to get Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson straight up for Love

The other part in that Cavs trade is they'd save $23M in cap (which results in around savings around $30M from reducing luxery tax.

FWIW...

Neil and Paul tried to secure a meeting with Love this summer before he re-signed with Cleveland.
