Name the last time 2-3 mini deals were made to acquire pieces that were then used to land an established player. If you do it sure as shit didn’t all happen the same offseason or season. Ainge’s brilliance started when he fleeced BKY be sending them 2 players he knew he wouldn’t win with again. BALLS
Your freaking avatar picture is of a guy that SA traded George Hill (HA HA HA HA, we can't avoid him) to get the 15th pick. They added him to an aging roster and he re-opened their championship window when Duncan was well past his prime. These are the types of simple trades that Bones means and why we want to get draft picks.

To be fair, that took a really really incompetent gm on the other side to make that happen. That was one of the dumbest trades ive ever seen.

And that same GM is the reason why we have Dame. Which is another example of a small trade at the time that turned into something great.

It was a really really aging gerald wallace for #6 and... Who? Wasnt it some guy we waived or stretched or something?

I don’t give a shit if it’s Dray or anyone else that was at the all-star game. But don’t get all bent if most of us don’t wanna read 1000 words about the “layers” of a Hill trade. If the goal is to trade up for rookies, sell off Dame and CJ and do a proper rebuild.
So you don't want to read about the layers of a trade but you make us read about trades that are impossible under the CBA? Awesome!

Mehmet Okur and Shawne Williams, neither played a game for us.

The pick was only top-3 protected by King because he thought there was only 3 good players in that draft and didn't want the pick if it was anything worse than 3.

And neither played many minutes for anyone else either heh.
Didnt okur technically play a game with us earlier in hia career. ;)
Okur actually had a decent career, he never played again though after that trade. Williams was a journeyman.

Okur never played a game for us, no, at least according to basketball reference.

Maybe im thinking of summer league.

Why do you care enough to keep posting about the Dray trade? I’ve moved on to blowing up the roster. If I don’t care about your boring insignificant trades that barely touch the needle let alone move it that won’t happen anyway you shouldn’t worry about my exciting blockbuster mega deals that won’t happen.

I had no idea I had the power to make you read anything, I’ll be more careful with what I force you to read. I gotta get used to having this kind of control though.

Nice try bruh, Hill was traded for the draft pick the turned into Kawhi. The question was name the last time 2 deals were made to acquire pieces to then trade for an ESTABLISHED player? In the same offseason or season. I’m all for trading players on this roster for draft picks, start with CJ.

I actually like reading other people's ideas except when they are stupid or impossible. This thread is for TRADE IDEAS. Post fucking trade ideas instead of all this bullshit.

I did post a trade idea but it made you so mad we had to have a 30 post discussion about it. The funny thing is I don’t care either way about the Dray trade or not. This has turned into a social experiment for me now.

@dviss1 , maybe one of these days we can get together, shoot the breeze, and drink some hard cider.

I went to a wine tasting up in traverse city, michigan a couple weeks ago. Now, i love hard ciders and the like, but holy hell they had the best one id ever had. I bought a bottle of it but left it at my friends i was staying with as a one of my thank yous for her letting me stay there. It sucks cause i forgot the name of it... Naughty apple cider or something.

Wow, you are so cool! I hope I can be just like you someday!

Then you might also like trying Mead (honey wine) by Hidden Legend Winery.

I think your taking the sports forum too serious, just my opinion. How bout Dray for next years second rounder and Meyers? is that better?

Nope, doesn't work under the CBA. Why don't you run any of your brilliant ideas through the ESPN trade machine before posting?

Ever have this? It's GOOD.

It didn't make anyone mad. You got knowledgeable, honest feedback on it, and didn't like it, so now now you're sitting here saying "Blow it up! Blow it up!". You're also sitting here trolling, talking trash about trade ideas while admitting you don't care about the logic of them and you're "experimenting" with us.. What's the issue dude? You need to chill.

I will entertain y'all with a "Blow it up" plan, in the spirit of LS.

First:
POR Gets: 17th Pick, Snell/Delly
MIL Gets: 24th Pick

CLE Gets: CJ McCollum, Al-Farouq Aminu, Moe Harkless, Ben McLemore, Dillon Brooks*
MEM Gets: 8th Pick, Kevin Love, JR Smith, Cedi Osman*, Jake Layman*
POR Gets: 4th Pick, 10th Pick, Chandler Parsons, George Hill, Jerryd Bayless,
PHI Gets: 17th Pick, Future 2nds

Cleveland saves apx. $13M, which is much more of you include tax. Gets an elite scorer and versatile defenders to enhance switchability to match up with GS. Plus, a young scorer off the bench..
Memphis ain't blowing it up, so moving Parsons, moving down only 4 spots, and getting back a great fit and an all-star? Great deal for them.
Philadelphia sheds salary.
Portland matches up a bunch of bad salary to expire in 2020, gets two top 10 picks in a top loaded draft. Could give MEM 10th and take 8th.

Draft Bagley, Bamba, or Jackson 4th, Bridges 10th. Resign our bigs.

Lillard / Hill
Bridges / Hill
Parsons / Turner
Collins / Rookie big
Nurkic / Davis

Shop Nurkic once we can, add go into 2020 free agency with Lillard, Bridges, Collins, and Bamba/Jackson/Bagley. We'd have apx. $60M in cap space to add to a solid core.

Ok Remember every this is thread is "trade ideas", not necessarily, "good trade ideas".

Orlando gets - CJ McCollum + #24
Portland gets - Evan Fournier and Johnathan Simmons +#35
Fournier is somehow a worse defender than CJ.
