Heck. look at what Boston has to offer. Several young quality players on cheap contracts and draft picks galore. They can also add Hayward in that mix if they decide to go that direction. At minimum, I doubt the Pelicans will listen without McCollum and Nurk in the equation.

Comparing stats is one way to comapre players, the other is the eye test. what does CJ do to the opposing defense compared to Brogdan? defensesprepare for CJ, they dont for brogdan.

Put CJ on a team with middleton and the greak freak and lets see what happens

CJ will get less touches, try to do even more when he does get them and stall the offense, while playing awful defense...

People use the "eye-test" when they dont have anything else to fall back on. If your eye-test is correctly calibrated, then stats should back it up.

Do you think we are as good as we are right now if we had Brogdon instead of CJ?

Lets see what Brogdon can do as a number 2 option on a team witht he defense keyed in on him

I seriously cant figure this board out sometimes, the overreaction is mind boggling.

If we called the bucks and said " hi we'd like to trade CJ for Brogdan" what do you think they would say?

well stats doesn't define the whole picture either when only one 1/2 season is used. Here is a true comparison.

Stats also at one time said jump shooting teams can win championships.
If you watched the Warriors the first year they won the ship...I think we could all agree we knew who was winning that year, no?

CJ's career 3pt% is 39.8%, Brogdon's is 40.6%.

Why can't you answer the question as to what CJ does that makes him better than Brogdon? You are acting like Coach Stotts right now when he was asked what CJ does to impact the game when he's not scoring.

What of the comparison you just posted show CJ is better? Pretty much every important metric favors Brogdon.

Here is my answer:
okay sure, I will give it to you that Brogdan has good stats, congratulations. I guess they make him a more efficient player than CJ.
My point is that they have different roles on their teams and that effects stats.
Brogdan doesnt have near the responsibility that CJ has

Now answer my questions

CJ is playing terrible this year. He's only averaging 20 points because he takes 18 shots. Put Brogdon in there and we are instantly a better and more efficient team. Besides, Brogdon would be the #3 option behind Dame and Nurk, as CJ should be too.

I don't know if the Bucks would want CJ given his contract.

I'd rather have someone who excels at his responsibilities than someone who tries to do more than he is capable of. Outside of maybe mid range shooting name one thing that CJ does so well that it can't be replaced?

Stats never did that, especially not their stats.
 
I would love to see a message RC2 wide vote on who is the better player, CJ or Brodgon

And that would prove what? Seriously why do you have to resort to eye test and polls of biased Blazer fans to support your opinion. Just name some things that CJ is doing really well this year that can't be replaced?

oh I can answer just fine. Chose not to go down that road and only posted a more realistic representation of the stats for you guys to do what you want to with it.
