I guess they wouldn't. I didn't realize that Richardson was the sticking point.
Just to set the record straight, all the reports I read said that Miami did eventually agree to give up Richardson; a deal was agreed on and then Minnesota came back and wanted more, I think a first round pick, or else they wanted Miami to take on a bad contract..

I think we HAVE to trade Aminu. Fuck whatever Dame says about this, but we can't let him walk next summer for nothing just to placate Dame now like we did with Davis/Napier. Besides, I think he has some semblance of value as an expiring contract to teams that might want space for the summer of 19. The market for expiring contracts is probably better this year than in years past with so many teams looking to sign the million FAs that will be on the market next season.

Philly (Fultz)
LAC (Gallo)
LAL (Lonzo)
NOP (Hill/Moore/Randle)
NYK (Hardaway jr.)
WAS (if they blow it all up, Porter)

I'd start with one of the above teams

Aminu and Harkless for Hardaway Jr?

Gallo would fit very nicely with this Blazers team!

Jesus no. Hardaway hasn't suddenly become a good all-around player. He's a gunner for a shitty team that needs points. Compare Vonleh on the Knicks to our Vonleh, then do that in reverse and you can work out how Hardaway would be on our team.

Now, Hardaway for Markell Fultz makes more sense.

Aminu is Olshey’s guy so no chance we would trade him. He wouldn’t trade him straight up for Anthony Davis if that was offered.

Sixers will pull off a big offer for Beal. Like Fultz, Chandler, 2019 unprotected first, 2021 unprotected Miami first and a whole bunch of second rounders. Maybe even add Zhaire.

I heard the first part too (and that Minny came back with a demand for another pick, and Riley basically slammed the phone down in a rage).

D-League all-stars getting all excited knowing that they're going to get to be the Sixers' bench.

Seriously, how many non-two-guards does that leave the Sixers with?

CJ for Josh Richardson, James Johnson and a future first. Johnson is on a bloated contract and CJ is an upgrade for them. Richardson gives us a better defender who can still shoot the three.
I like this, but then I liked Josh Richardson in the 2015 draft. I think Miami would rather trade Whiteside, though.

I wonder what other teams think of CJ? I suppose it varies from team to team. Some front offices really seem inept, and to go for the shiniest objects over the players whose advanced stats are good. Somehow I don't think Miami is one of those (unlike, say, Sacramento).

They would probably get 2-3 good players from the buyout market and could get by before then. For now they’d be starting Beal, Butler, Simmons and Embiid all the time, and plug in McConnell, Redick, Shamet, Korkmaz and Muscala in different lineups.

They’d essentially be swapping Chandler for Beal. Fultz won’t play and Zhaire hasn’t played so far.

I honestly don’t see many teams that would go for CJ. Of all good teams they already have 2s that can shoot and score or don’t need one because they get their scoring from somebody else. Maybe Indiana could use someone like him, he’d be a decent fit at Philadelphia and Milwaukee but they don’t have good offers to send the other way, same with teams New Orleans and Utah who could also use some extra scoring options.

Otto Porter is the one guy that's attainable who can vault this team up a peg or two.

What a stupid post. Just a tired ass take. Hes already traded aminu once in his career. The hyperbole helps nothing, just makes it ignore worthy, honestly

He traded Aminu before with a few other of his guys for CP3. I don't see Olshey giving him away but if we could get the brow, Olshey would pull the trigger so fast he'd hurt himself. Lets not be too hyperbolic; we'd trade just about anyone to get Anthony Davis in return.

Good video. Im kind of on the fence about giving up Meyers which I know its Meyers but we are so thin up front. If we gave up Meyers, and Nurk or Collins has an injury are we playing Biggie 18 minutes a game?
No. Sign Tyler Zeller.

Yeah it was a hyperbole of course but it's the kind of feeling I get with the construction of this roster. We put half of our players on untradeable list and it prevents us from making any significant moves.

For example I'm not convinced he'd swap Aminu for Covington or Saric, even though it would make sense to.

I get it. He does overvalue "his guys". The fact that last season he said that CJ was untouchable just shows that he can't seem to pivot when it's necessary.

Exactly what I was getting at. Of course if offered Davis for Aminu he'd take it.

We've made one significant trade since 2016 and that was still with luxury tax implications on our mind and required the other team to significantly overpay (Plumlee for Nurkic + pick).

I don't get where this narrative comes from. I can bitch about Neil as much as the next guy, but this is just not true.

Would you rather have:

- Otto Porter -- 3yrs/ 80 mil
- Harrison Barnes -- 2yrs/ 50 mil

Let's say we're giving up the same for both.

Turner, one of Leonard/Harkless, and a pick for Gordon Hayward.

Porter, definitely. Solid defender, and doesn't need the ball in his hands to be effective. I really don't like Barnes as a player.
