You don’t necessarily have to attach anything to Turner as long as you’re willing to take money back. It’s the same idea as Chicago getting a first for Parker. That’ll be Turner next year. And I’d argue Turner would have more value than Parker, despite what the fans think of him. Vets that can defend and facilitate will always have value, especially if it’s an expiring.
What? So he has value if we take back bad salary? No, that's us giving up 0 value for negative value. Nobody is going to want Turner. Hes a bad player.

You really think Brooklyn is interested in taking on over 22 mil more and allow an expiring contract to walk only to add another year at 18.2 mil? Why? We are less than a season away from Turner being an expiring contract in which we might be able to trade for some assets then. Regardless how anyone feels about Turner, he still helps this team and would help it more than Faried.

Didn't say *they* would - I said *I* would! The Nets would be foolish to take him on.

As for ET making a positive contribution or ever having positive trade value - we will just have to agree to disagree.

Turner, Aminu, and a first for Ariza and Morris? Technically theyd be separate deals because of restrictions on Ariza, but you know what I mean.

Now that Wall is out, Washington becomes an even more attractive trade partner. They have multiple players that could help Portland. Ariza and Morris are also expiring. Porter could be another possibility. My question would be their interest level in taking on salary in exchange for a first rounder.

Can't we get Marcus instead of Markieff? I know they both kill the Blazers but against everyone else one shoots 43% from deep and the other 33%.

I think markief would Shoot better than 33% in Portland, Imagine Shooting him all these wide open 3s instead of all these Aminu bricks

Id take either one. Those two kill us all the time so maybe Blazers fans are biased towards them, but I also think they’d fit our offense perfectly. They space the floor, and they can score without being ball dominant. They also have some balls and won’t let anyone bully them.

CJ & 1rp for Beal

Beal is taller than CJ, a better defender and passer.
Beal also has a passion in his belly to win games. Something that has faded away from the Blazer's attitude.

The Bulls and Parker’s representative are working to find a trade scenario that works for both parties. League sources indicated that teams interested in Parker are asking the Bulls to take on bad, long-term contracts. As of now, that’s a non-starter for the Bulls, who structured Parker’s deal the way they did for a reason.

Ok so that’s not happening then. And the bulls are dumb. They’re not getting any top FA, they should be gathering picks.

Would Boston move on from Haywayrd? Would they for cheap, to get out of his huge deal?

Hayward and Ojeleye for Turner, Aminu, Swanigan?

I’d put Hayward in my top three of realistic targets. If Boston could find a taker for Hayward without adding on money for 2020, I believe they could open up enough space for two max contracts. Theyre covered on the wing, there are better ways to allocate that money.

Well why even discuss a hypothetical if it doesn't pass the test? Should we propose Lebron trades?

To expand on this, short of putting CJ or Collins on the block, this is the type of player we’re gonna get. A risk. With the “assets” we have, were not going to get an established player without some sort of asterisk attached. It’s our only shot imo.

The blazers just need to commit, one way or the other. Either buy into this squad or blow it up. Buy into of course meaning spend whatever is necessary aka luxury tax, and blow it up meaning trade CJ. Because what we have right now is a front office telling us one thing, and the team on the court telling us another. PICK A LANE.

I agree with this and, with dame still under contract for 2 more years, it's the type of risk I think we should make. You're not adding that potential without risk or bad salary. It keeps all of your "assets" still.

Interesting. I think theyd have it as a contingency in place in case they got a free agent commitment from Butler or KD, and only then would they pull the trigger.

KD and Butler are free agents this summer, not next. I don’t think they’d be able to get either one, even if they traded Hayward. I was thinking more along the lines of AD and DeRozan.

Both have player options for next year so it's not for certain they will be free agents next year.

You're talking about two max slots this summer or next summer..? I thought you were talking about this summer.

Harkless to Kings for Labissiere

Kings get the better player and playoff help while balancing their roster. Labissiere does not appear to be in their future plans.

Blazers pick up a project stretch 4 on a rookie contract, saving $9 million in cap space this and next season.

POR Gets: Otto Porter Jr. Jeff Green (TPE)
OKC Gets: Al-Farouq Aminu (TPE), Meyers Leonard
WAS Gets: Alex Abrines, Patrick Patterson, Caleb Swanigan, Wade Baldwin IV, 2019 POR 1st
