He’s 24 and putting it all together.
he is a poor defender, I'd prefer more of a PF/C

If we could get that pick back from Chicago, Would you trade Ant in a trade for Derozan?I'm starting to get into BGD's opinion. Trade for Derozen, get our pick back from CHI. Is that possible?
then why not trade Dame and get a good return back?I prefer length. I also prefer guys who can put the ball thru the hoop and have length. He’d immediately upgrade our ability to create. Still has a lot of room to grow.
We should be thinking about the future. We aren’t winning shit with Lillard.
He can't be traded until the offseason, for one. It's almost certain they don't move him, so doesn't seem like a good exercise anyways.then why not trade Dame and get a good return back?

Lets see how your 'future all-star' did tonight...

Didn't you just post a clip of one game to show how he's "putting it all together"?One game. lol

Fact is, he's 4 years in, and has shown no real improvement in basically any area. I don't know how exactly that's starting to put it all together. I'd take him for free/matching salary, to gamble on perceived talent, but often times, after 4 years, guys have shown you who they are.
Yeah, I have ESPN+ and when I read this I came to the conclusion that Marks either doesn't like us or doesn't really give a lot of thought to our situation. Why in the fuck would we trade two of our 6'6" and under guys to get three more? I get the idea that we might want a legit backup PG but that is only if we trade Ant. The fact that he doesn't once mention our lack of size/length is extremely problematic for me. I understand that it's not easy being up to date on the needs of every team in the league but that's what Bobby Marks claims to be. He either hates us, is an idiot or hasn't done his homework in regards to our team. Keon and Josh for Duarte, McConnell and Garrison Mathews?!? We get functionally smaller because none of those guys plays bigger than they are like Hart does... and we need to get bigger not smaller. We also need to streamline what our perimeter rotation looks like, not muck it up further by adding to it. Fucking ridiculous.posted on page 1 of this thread.
Was it ever made public why Rui spent so much time away from the team, for whatever the personal reasons were? I can't imagine that has anything to do with them looking to move on from him... He's basically a likeable Ben Simmons, after that episode.
Yes... It's one game. I just thought it was a little ironic that you were touting him as having all-star potential & then showed up with this turd of a game. One game. lol
This is exactly correct.Didn't you just post a clip of one game to show how he's "putting it all together"?

Chris Haynes said in an interview with Jaynes that Ant is not going to be traded and the Blazers are really high on him ..he said actually no Blazers are in the trade rumor mill but there's still a couple of weeks and things could change.
And how did McDaniels of the Hornets do tonight after 26 points the night before? 6 for 11, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 steals and a block, Best plus minus on the team of +13Lets see how your 'future all-star' did tonight...

I don't know what this is supposed to mean. Hopefully it means that this guy knows how to continue to produce for his team when his three point shot isn't falling. Missing 5 threes but making all 6 of your twos while getting 5 steals and a block is a pretty great night when your shot isn't falling from distance. And how did McDaniels of the Hornets do tonight after 26 points the night before? 6 for 11, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 steals and a block, Best plus minus on the team of +13
I know that Haynes has sources in our organization but I don't think Joe is the type to tip his hand, if anything Joe may have had offers for Ant that he's trying to push higher by leaking this smoke screen.Chris Haynes said in an interview with Jaynes that Ant is not going to be traded and the Blazers are really high on him ..he said actually no Blazers are in the trade rumor mill but there's still a couple of weeks and things could change.
We do need major moves that get us closer to contending but we also need our bench to get a lot better and have some playable depth in the post.We don't need bench scrubs and lateral moves.
That's not going to get us closer to contending.

Or we will find out at or sometime a little afternoon on 2/9 that Joe like Neil is not good at pivoting when he needs to. If this roster isn't changed at all by the trade deadline, Dame should be incensed. Dude should have smoke coming out of his ears if we still have the lack of length and misfitting pieces we do today, for the rest of the season.
Agreed on the no change.I would prepare yourself mentally for no changes. Maybe trade Hart and that's it.
Like I said if the afternoon of the ninth rolls around and we've stood pat with the lack of size/length and the still horrible fit in the back court next to Dame... I won't be surprised, I'll simply know that Joe doesn't have the ability to make moves at the time they are needed... I'll also start fearing that like Olshey he falls in love with his guys and can't see their weaknesses and how badly they fit together.I would prepare yourself mentally for no changes. Maybe trade Hart and that's it.
The Blazers goal is just to be mediocre with help from a superstar to put butts in seats. Just to let you guys know that Dame will be 33 years old in July.I mean if our goal is to keep our pick from Chicago this year that’s probably a good idea to stand pat because it’s looking more and more like we’ll land in the lottery.
