Just to let you guys know that Dame will be 33 years old in July.

more than 5 years younger than Chris Paul and Lebron. Less than a year older than Kawhi. Younger than Paul George. Two years younger than Durant. 2.3 years younger than Curry. A year younger than Derozan

Most of whom have been on teams that have competed for something much more recently than Lillard

Chris Haynes said in an interview with Jaynes that Ant is not going to be traded and the Blazers are really high on him ..he said actually no Blazers are in the trade rumor mill but there's still a couple of weeks and things could change.

so CJ part 2.

I just hope against my better judgment that Joe is a helluva lot smarter than Neil and he is trying to push teams who have shown interest in Ant with a media smokescreen (wouldn't be the first GM to have done this).

FWIW...
I personally expected as much regarding Ant (if it's true). I don't agree with it as it really turns into CJ mach 2

Haynes left Portland several years ago. I doubt he has any real connections left with Blazer management. Seems like his only real connection is with Dame. So I'm really skeptical about his assertion

but if Portland is making Ant untouchable they are fucking up all over again, and even worse than before

Got home sick from his parents in Japan and was reportedly battling depression is the speculation I’ve heard.

That's in line with the last I had seen, as well, but no one in the organization seemed to want to talk about whatever it was.

Things like that aren't usually one-and-done situations. I suppose the West Coast is a few hours closer to his parents, but I wouldn't want to invest much time or money into basically the professional equivalent of someone looking to enter the transfer portal.

The only reason you should make Ant even kind of untouchable is if you've decided that you don't have the ability to get to where you want to with Dame and you're planning on featuring him this season and moving him for value in the off season. Then I could see you not wanting to touch your future back court of Ant and Shae.

I don't want that to be the case, I don't think that's the case. I'm keeping an open mind that Joe won't repeat the same mistakes he saw being made in the past. I am not expecting it but I'm hoping Ant is moved by the trade deadline.

I have several game clips I could show. I chose just one.

A big reason he hasn’t been able to put it all together because of various injuries.

If he were traded to Portland he’d easily be our best bench player
I’m sure the fact that he played for the Zags doesn’t make you bias.. at all… towards him

I don't know what this is supposed to mean. Hopefully it means that this guy knows how to continue to produce for his team when his three point shot isn't falling. Missing 5 threes but making all 6 of your twos while getting 5 steals and a block is a pretty great night when your shot isn't falling from distance.
Well, he is not a great 3 pt shooter (35%) but he is 86% on free throws so maybe he would do better on a team where he might get more open shots? I couldn't find what his % is on wide open shots. His strength is defense so I have been watching him lately to see how his offense is coming along.

I'm wondering now if they won't wait until summer to make a trade, just to delay another year before they go into heavy tax area. Although if they got someone like Jalen McDaniels, they wouldn't have a problem until he signed a new contract.

Let's hope its a negotiating tactic, if not F U Blazer mgmt

They would be stupid to say anything but that. (The quote was "almost" untouchable) Saying otherwise hurts a player's trade value and their confidence. Not a smart idea to do with a young player. Plus who is Hayne's source? I would assume it is Dame not mgmt

This is right up Blazers alley. Bringing in a player with potential on the cheap.

How much potential does Reddish really have? Has he shown anything above role-player ability at any point in his NBA tenure?
looking at the stats, he hasnt show that hes role player either, really inefficient

I don’t know. But there’s a particular gamble you need to make when you’re a market like portland

I mean, he has more length than most of our wings and I still think there is untapped potential there. What would he cost though? Would they take Nas and Keon or Justise and Keon... and is he worth those guys. Really hard to gauge on either side of it for me. Wound Justise, Nas and Keon get you Reddish and Toppin. Then you'd be increasing the size of our bench substantially but I don't know if the Knicks would be interested or if we even should be.

It is interesting though. With us giving up an extra player in any of those trades we would also have to want someone who is currently a free agent/gleaguer or have a target on the buyout market. As far as the Cam and Obi thing goes, even if you think we're getting too good of a deal on that which is probably the case, our front office also would likely do it unless there was another deal that got us under the tax because that deal alone puts us into the tax and we'd still have to add a min contract on top of it.

Two teams have given up on him.
They've had their reasons to give up on him but they also had their reasons for initially wanting to see what he has. He's extremely athletic and has for periods of time been able to shoot from three. Not a needle mover, so I guess I actually don't give a shit about it. It's really hard for me to know if he's worth what we'd likely have to give up for him or to know if what we could give up for him would be enough for the Knicks.

I mean fuck it if we’re in this let’s win now mode with Lillard even though we won’t, I’d be down for trading for DeRozan. He’d be a much better combo than he and Simons and would at least diversify our offense.

It’s either shoot your best shot at winning now with Lillard or go full on blowup for the future mode. None of this in between shit

DeRozan isn't win now. DeRozan is the same shit.

Siakam is win now.

Trade Grant for very good picks.

Trade GP2 to the Warriors for all their recent draft picks

Trade Ant for great draft picks.

Trade Hart for whatever.

Bench Nurk.

Let Dame and Shae shoot 35 shots each per game. Go full tank for picks the next few years and do a proper patient rebuild with a lot of good youth.

Why not trade Dame if you're gonna do all that?

The gamble I suggested a couple weeks back on twitter was:

Nurk & Little

For

Isaac & Carter Jr.

Isaac being the gamble because of injuries, but if he can stay healthy we get great size and talent. Why would Orlando do it? Who knows.

If you’re trading all those guys for draft picks, Dame will ask to be traded as well.
